I started playing the game with dds, and italian dds out of all. I pretty much started playing ranked as soon as I could. Yes it was tough playing those italian dds at first but eventually it taught me a lot about how to play dds. This is when I started playing the mogador and I 100% agree with you; this ship the definition of fun in ranked. The only real issue I've had is with CVs : getting spotted sooner than I'd have liked to surprise enemy dds makes it tougher to win early engagements. Mogador is also very good against subs, assuming you know how drifting works and avoid eating torps. I am no experienced player but I quickly saw the potential in that ship and continue to play it although now I am almost sure I won't ever play battleships. Thanks a lot for your videos as they sure help me play my favorite ship better.

DD's are sooo strong in ranked if you know what you're doing. I had doubts about playing my Groningen in ranked since it has no torps, but once you go DD hunting, you win most games. After hunting DD hunting you support to farm out BB's, had a 12 win-streak recently with Groningen.

Hi PQ, what's your opinion on RPF vs FB on these french dds? I see you are using FB, is FB much better to take?

The recording issue could be due to the game switching screen modes between game->results->port. On my 240Hz monitor I had to disable gsync, if I wanted to stop an annoying flicker during results, that would also bug any video recording. Why is the game mode setting between screens? No idea, it's early teens spaghetti code that's been bodged together with gaffer tape and greed... It doesn't play very well with modern systems. For example, if you fully unlock the frame rate, it comes apart around 170 fps. Let that sink in, a game in 2023 that can't even make it to 200fps without bugging out. I find that if you edit the settings file to lock it to 165fps, you are mostly ok.

What do you think about RPF instead of Grease the gear and 5% reload buff? Knowing where the enemy is means having a bit slower turret traverse is not that bad anymore? But lose 5% DPM.

For me it's the Le Fantasque. That got me through bronze and silver and I honestly miss it in gold. Haven't really excelled in the Mogador and will probably wait until I can afford the French captain. I play fairly similar in that I rush from the first moment. Against Groningen and especially Kitakaze I really struggle though.

Yeah, only take fights against those when you have your MBRB ready. Both Groningen and Kitakaze are good at range and have massive DPM, so even if you do win, you will take big damage.

Mogador is only about 10% better than fantasque but is against tier 9s where some insane gunboats like kita and gron exist, so it feels like a downgrade

How would the mogador fare up tier'd ? ive been loving ranked because i can play some of my fave teir 9's non uptired and having a blast dont care about ranked just good battles in 6v6

I'm only an average player but my advice do not play this setu with 12.8km guns if you may get uptiered and especially so in 12 vs 12. 12.8km as top tier in ranked is fine if you are good but still expect to take quite a lot of secondary damage.

Line up the speed and rip the seam! Good fun without a focused CV, had a game go south because the enemy CV focused on me early and my team left me at 1v5, so i gave up boosted to his corner at 58kts, 😤still had enough time to get back for fun before points ran out.

mog is a good ship i do prefer kleber because it has way better turret rotation. i m far to be as good as you play moga, but do enjoy playing a bit like a paolo torping left and right and us AP to citadel cruiser at short range, i think it is possible to citadel the yamato via it weak point too,

WG needs to improve ranked by making it a rating with the class of ship you play. Currently. it is just glorified randoms. When you get to Gold, it plays far worse with the worst throws I have ever experienced. Toxicity too.

These matches are tailor made for French DDs lol. Only 6 ships, no carriers or subs, little radars and hydro. In randoms, French DDs get worked since they have no smoke and no heal. The best you can do is kite around using your speed and take potshots but then you become useless to your team.

I too play mostly DD's because of the consistency, you have the best chance of having some battle impact. The hyper aggressive french style is a blast even when things don't go as well but CVs really ruin the experience. Thanks for not showing those games.
