Lava doesn't light portals directly; you need to create a fire block inside the portal frame. If you have fire tick on, you can light a portal by placing lava to ignite a flammable block next to the portal, but you need to have a flammable block (and some spares for when your flammable block burns away before the fire spreads to the face you want).

Actually, this trap can be made better by placing a sand block on top of the tnt. if a player puts water while mlging and the tnt falls on the water, it won't work, but with the sand on top, it will 4:54
