Scared to death suggestion! When you first get it you want to test/play in the house. If you hit “fly now” you are going up 1.5 meters and hit the ceiling fan (did this). Suggest option, moving the two control handles to start drone without immediately climbing. Great video, thanks!

Man. I took mine out for the first real run. Been waiting for a nice beach day with weather and low wind. I learned a valuable lesson in that wind speeds on the ground can be significantly less than up high. My first outing and I thought I lost my drone. Got to an altitude and suddenly it just took off. Went higher than all the high rise condos. Got so high I couldn’t even see it anymore and I couldn’t tell from looking at the HUD if I was even controlling it at all. Thank god for that auto return. I manually initiated it and after an agonizingly long time, it finally came back. Got some really nice high altitude shots but wow was that scary. 😀

Just got my drone and I had a question I live in the EU and in a small city but there is an “international airport” that gets about 1 flight a day. If I track the flights and know when the plans are coming in can I still fly, or what is the minimum distance I need to keep from the airport.

In Australia, you can fly a drone within 5.5 nM of the airport if you are not flying in the takeoff or landing path. You can also request authorisation to fly through the DJI Fly app.

Hey Dan, I have just grabbed the dji mini 3 pro but can’t get active track to work. It doesn’t come up as an option on the RC controller. The wider internet says I have to enable something in the ‘control’ tab but it’s not on the software but is on all other vids I watch. Is there anything I can do to get it going as it was the primary reason I bought it. Cheers.

why does the DJI app limit altitude, is it just my location and time of day I am flying, I got the parameters maxed out and it's limits my height sometimes to 100ft? Do I have to create a DJI account as I brought it second hand, register it im my name and unlock the flight zones ? even the bloody app gives me a headache and if DJI are so helpful, why not provide a shade for your phone, even hubsan do that for a £80 H501, which I will get again because it's cheap and flies well and I got spare motors, props and more batteries !!! Apps should be simple to use becuase most pilots fly line of sight and primarily keep there eyes on the model and glance down at the app every now and then !!! Thats what I do, keep it simple !!!😊

You should definitely create an account to open up all of the features. You also need to be aware of drone laws. 120m is the legal height that you can fly.

I got my new Mini 2 se for £170 so a real bargain!!! I still think DJI are way to overpriced, granted they are quality kit, but man why so costly new? If you do your research you can easily get nowadays an equivalent quality drone for £170 or so.

U missed one of my favorite tips, probably the one i have found most useful. Has to do with the zoom. If u hold the FN (function button, i believe it's called), and roll the wheel on your controller, the one u use to make the camera go up and down, it turns it into a zoom function. It's much smoother than trying to use ur finger to do it on the phone. Hope that wasn't too confusing. Take care. 🙂

The DJI Mini2 SE is my first drone. I am amazed at this little drone. For the price I cant imagine anything better. My second flight I flew it to the river and old church on a hill about 2 mile. Its very easy to know where drone is at all times.

I first and only tip I can give for the dji mini 2se is...... don't buy it! Not being compatible with the litchi app makes it a basic, "one trip pony....goes farther. The original mini se being compatible with Litchi made it way more versatile and fun. I thought I was upgrading till I found out Litchi wouldn't work. I wanted to trade the mini 2se with guy who bought my mini se, he said not a chance.

I am using this drone and it can't finds gps satellites in city centre roads. When i take it to my hand it can finds 10 satellites and when i trying on clear view highway it found only 17 pieces satellites. Is that normal? When i try with my phone gps test app in same highway location it can finds 27 satellites. The drone is brand new and those are my first flights, can any user of mini 2 se or channel owner illuminate me about this subject? How many satellites finds your mini 2 se drones? Am i need to go to service?

If you had the drone with no max distance, is it possible to lose the drone after 6 miles (10km) from the controller or will it return home? Also, the subtitles was on in my settings and I never had it pop up during videos. I don’t know how it would because as far as i can tell the app doesn’t record audio.

By default the drone will return to home if it loses connection with the controller. The subtitles are related to the meta data that will be recorded to the file.

Hello, got my Mini 2 se yesterday and have figured out how to work it. (Not all features but basic flight and app usage) Q: I flew in small local park and even though I set max altitude to 500m, it only went to 100ft and the voice said "maximum altitude". This evening I flew at another park a bit more secluded and again it stopped at 100ft, I persisted pressing climb and it broke out of the 100ft ceiling. Yeah I know, with my SG906 that's what I do.I got a mini 2 se I'm just saying as a model it restricts flight altitude if say you fly outside your flat, ok in some parks though. I getting peeved with drones as my sG906 has a failed motor , I have returned it and asked for replacement and I keep my batteries, they better do it or they won't be getting any more money out of me. I like very much my SG906 and enjoy flying it, my Bugs 6 is still fling and it cost £30 so logically my SG906 (at a month old )should be purring like a kitten !!! Rob🤗

I think people should stop referring to this as a beginner drone, as having no obstacle avoidance would not be ideal for beginners. People associate cost with whether it’s a beginner model but I like to refer to it as a starter model. The best beginner drone would probably be the mini 4 pro as it’s under 250g and has good avoidance systems.

When I press RTH (even if my max altitude is set to 100m & my home is set) my mini 2SE tells me Landon and it starts to land. It does not return to the home. What am I doing wrong ? This is my 1st drone

I believe that you need to go into the settings and find the RTH command. It might be set to land instead of RTH.

Exactly my situation with the Mini 2. Is it still possible to purchase insurance for a replacement on this device? Guy said he unbinded the account, but never did. It would be nice to receive a new replacement, as he lied about some errors that weren't apparent when first flown. Just an intermittent ESC error. Now other things I'm hoping to solve. @_AlienPhotography_

I think it's strange you can do 4x zoom in 1080p but only 3x in 2k, as it's digital zoom it would be clearer to zoom in more on the higher resolution.

I think what you mean by "bar down the bottom" is the artificial horizon. If it tilts to one side without any pilot input, that's because the drone's flight control algorithm is banking it toward the wind to counteract drift.

Am I correct in saying that for the controller symbol to show you need to turn on locations in your phone setting. Untill I turned on this in my phone I was only getting the homepoint and drone symbol. I'm new to this and never operated a drone before so at the moment this is alien. No obstacle avoidance sensors. The altitude will hold steady - it connects to satellites and holds its position. No following modes.

i am totally confused by this video there is no where in the mini 2 se settings where you can change the gimbles sensitivity, nor can you change the poi no compass etc ? i also noticed it say at the top mini pro 3 tips and settings yet the description is for the mini 2 se ?

Hmm, make sure that you update your drone. This was captured a few weeks ago on my Mini 2 SE.

@@DansTubeTV it is updated I only got it 5 days ago and the first thing it wanted to do was update the firmware on the controller and also the drone it's self, I can't find any other software for android apart from the software DJI have provided it, the only way I can change the rates on the gimbles is to put it in cine mode, is it possible you have different software to me because I am in the UK maybe mine isn't as up to date as yours ?
