Im glad I got to see these compiled together! I subscribed to you aaages ago, just assuming from how professional your channel pfp look that you were established and a big channel! I've watched your videos on how tough this youtube grind has been. I hope you feel deep satisfaction from your hard work, if not monetarily then spiritually (idk how else to call it). You have a very nice way of assessing and describing how and why games feel the way they feel. I hope the algorithm blesses you in the way you deserve. I'll be here for the long haul to keep watching 💪 Hope all is going well these days for you, man

Thank you! I did a 10 year update recently and I’m gonna do a channel update soon. I get so much out of making content here and I also have to fight the resentment that I’m not as far along as I would’ve liked because I’m not appeasing the algorithm properly. Such is life. Soon! Plus the next review!

Yes, it's the gamers fault for calling games like Firewatch walking simulators. Given that we've had games that essentially are walking simulators. Pretentious crap like Dear Esther set the stage for these types of games. Artistic, with some basic story, but little to no gameplay. If that floats your boat, great, but the rest of us that have a pulse rate over 1, and aren't in imminent danger of a stroke, will be going back to something more engaging.

There’s nothing wrong with games like Firewatch or Dear Esther. Not every game needs to be Cyberpunk or Call of Duty and even if “walking simulators” aren’t our cup of tea, there’s nothing invalid about them as games. We can have them all.
