My daughter and her husband have a 2 year old with minimal things (they live a simple life). We bring a toy each time we visit and take it home with us. He loves playing with us and looks forward to us bringing it again. It doesn’t clutter their house and he doesn’t lose interest since he only has it when we visit (right now it is a train set). I totally agree with you-less really is more!

I wish my Mother in Law was like this! So respectful of you. A new toy comes each visit and she will ask months later about a certain toy to see if we still have it. Literally just have a box of toys from her in our garage that only comes out during visits.

I grew up with a mom like what you describe. I didn’t want to be like that with my children.

I don't even do socks for babies because they always fall off. I just had my 7th baby and I just buy 10 footie pajamas in each size for the first year. Once they are walking I like the one piece footless jammies and some simple barefoot type shoe.

I totally agree with the screens. I made a mistake with my first daughter. She is now 14 and she would go from one screen to the next. It was a horrible circle. Learn from older mamas experience. ❤

Completely agree. I did same with my first as well. We learn as we go for sure :)

These are all fantastic. We are thinking about having a third baby, so this was very helpful for me. Thank you!🖤

Great Video❤❤❤ We really don't need much for a new born baby. My fav items that I used nonstop were: 1 Changing table (my back appreciated this item so much 😂) 2 The boppy pillow 3 Muslin blankets 4 Dr Brown baby bottles 5 Microwave Bottle Sterilizer 6 Diaper trash can/bags 7 Floor mats And the obvious diapers/wipes/Baby Vaseline Things that I didn't use much 1 Noise machine (never plugged) 2 Botle warmer (few times) 3 Diaper bag (just for Dr visits) I prefer a shein transparent bag that was 5 bucks rather than my experience diaper backpack 4 Dresses( The big costume type) We took pictures of our baby wearing them and then put them all away. 5 Wipe warmer(were used the first 3 months)

Basically, I agree on everything on your list other than how I needed a changing table or something off the ground to help my back until I am in better shape to bend without pain (then I use the floor or the bed as you do). My 17 year old LOVES only black and grey clothes. My 15 year old loves to have variety in shirts in colors and logos while is picky about what type of pants or shorts he wears (usually jean or black). I don't understand now allowing your kids to choose their own fashion at all as well. My baby just wears hand me downs a friend gives me or just basic things. I have never put him in a tux. One thing that you said about shoes. . I do put little booties on my babies in the wintertime so their feet are not cold when it snows and such. Otherwise, I am totally a barefoot/sock only lady for her kids. My kids each have two pairs of shoes. . sneakers and flip flops and that's that. We did have to buy sneakers for my 15 year old for his gym class, as he usually likes slip on Vans that are not gym class acceptable. Anyway, great list. So true. Yey minimalism and the lack of things we need or buy.

Do you buy baby walkers for your babies? That’s probably included into the bouncers and swings. 😅

I had one for my second for a little bit, but ended up not using it very often as well. I know a lot of mamas love them though!

For children's bottles, especially once they no longer need milk and older than 2, save yourself a fortune and just get the stainless steel bottles with or without a straw because it will save you so much clutter/waste of money!

This is exactly what I do!

I didn't know they had them until recently and I wish I found out sooner. Tbh, even at 18mo they can have them, or whenever they can stuck through a straw you used.
