Hi, I agree with all of these and have also adapted most of them! I was never big into yoga, but I also don't practice it for the same reasons. I'm a minimalist as well, and have let go of so much, and stopped shopping for things I don't need. I also love that I recently stopped listening to secular music, my 6 gear old singing my not so great songs.. and then singing Hallelujah.. after church one day, really opened my eyes to what I was listening to. I also heard Ann Wilson's song, songs about whiskey, I love her music now! ❤ I'm also doing diastasis recti exersizes, at home, youtube videos, just to heal my body too! So glad I found your channel, this was so inspiring!

I love how you feel deeply in these convictions. that they really move you. I cannot get into horror movies or movies with gore ever. They really hurt my heart and head. People don't understand. I don't watch movies with sexual content either or nudity or anything like that. Very cool about where you decided to go with your bathing suit! I have always been really modest with bathing suits. I think it is because I grew up around people who were addicted to pornography including my father. I saw how he would gape at women and I didn't want that to happen to me with married men especially. I have a very weird modesty journey, but I think part of why is because. I ran my own modesty ministry for a few years and saw how legalistic it became, so I closed it down. Loved learning about the rest of the things too between diet and more. That was really interesting about what you said about dresses. I wonder if that has something to do with your upbringing too? So unique how it is still hard to let go of things at times for you! At least it is still something you have to process and work on rather than not really having any care at all. Keep up the great work of questioning things and working on what you are pondering.

I use to wear bikinis too. It wasn’t until I got stronger in the Catholic faith that I stopped altogether. Have you ever heard of the Mary-like modesty standards? It came from Fr.Bernard and he based it off standards from Pius Xl. It’s really wonderful and has been a guide for generations to traditional Catholic women. It’s the only modesty guidelines I’ll follow that I’m comfortable with. ❤️ I only swim privately with family and I will wear a swim shirt and a swim skirt that goes pst my knees. It’s really easy to swim in. :)

From a 69-year-old, you should constantly be reevaluating your life. It always grows you into deeper understanding and spiritual growth. I hold on to the tenets of my faith very tightly. Everything else. I hold lightly knowing I just might be wrong and find that they need to go. Keep up the good work and never lose your sweet heart.

As a Christian, i loved all of this and wholeheartedly agree with you. Especially on the yoga and horror movies (for me any movies with spiritism, excessive swearing and immorality etc as well) Can i ask considering you quit Yoga beacuse of its origins, how do you feel about things like Christmas, Easter, Valentines Day, Halloween etc? All these things have origins steeped in false religious beliefs and practices and teachings in conflict with the Bible. It certainly makes us stop and think why we do certain things and where these practices, celebrations etc have actually come from :)

I have been convicted of every single one of these this year! It’s so refreshing to hear someone else also wanting to let go of these “normalized” things that even my other Christian friends don’t think are a big deal, but they really are. At the end of the day if it’s not bringing you closer to God and more like Jesus then we don’t need it! 💓

It shouldn’t be controversial to cover up. Your husband is the only eyes that should see you in that way. He is right under God and I think so many families fall apart because women don’t submit to their husbands.

So many people are used to having minimalism fit into a box. Everything has to be a certain way, no color, and counting the items you have. However, people truly miss the point of minimalism and turn it into a restrictive lifestyle or give up on it altogether and choose hyperconsumerism. I love pastel colors, Japanese culture, my faith, and happy quotes. I want my space to be a reflection of myself, but that doesn’t mean I need to fill it with stuff or get so restrictive so I can fit the “minimalist” aesthetic. It’s just like nutrition, people float to restriction or binging, and they miss the true point of nutrition- giving fuel so our bodies can have the energy to live life’s important moments. I definitely love that you choose what suits you and your family as stuff does not own you, rather you own the stuff you have. People can be so hateful. Thank you for your transparency and vulnerability. I had a similar revelation and conviction about yoga. The only part about it that I enjoyed was the physical aspect of exercise and stretch. But the more I grew in faith the more uncomfortable I became going to yoga classes or even being in that environment. Thank the Lord for being gentle yet relentless with us in leading us towards His light and truth 🙏🏼 What forms of exercise do you do now? I love stretching and staying flexible, yet trying to avoid anything that does not glorify our Lord. Did you find another form of gentle workout that you enjoy now?

I went to yoga vinyasa classes for a few months to work on stretching. This was right before COVID shut down the place I went to. The instructor was so broken and started to tell me her problems on days I was her only student. She was talking about chakras and all this weird stuff and I bluntly told her none of those things were going to help her out at all. She asked for my phone number and wanted to keep in touch with me (since lost touch). I can see how yoga has so much weird spirituality calling on demons. I haven't done yoga in a few years now and am happy about it. My best friend was using yoga to connect to God and pray and meditate on Him, but I found that I couldn't find peace while doing yoga. Now my best friend is without God and says she is traumatized by Christianity. It is really hard to see how people are drawn to things and spiritual darkness. THe same best friend has a missionary brother in India and he states how idols and gods are all over the place and that there is so much spiritual darkness in that country, let alone in the practice of yoga. I thank you for being open about this with everyone and telling people to not mess with it. We can all do stretches without doing yoga.
