As a daughter of a Vietnam Vet who just passed away in February this year… I watch these and cry because I remember my Daddy coming home and hugging him like I just got the biggest gift ever in my life. I never liked my Daddy being away ever and what is worse… I am the baby and Daddy’s Little Girl.

As a daughter of a veteran, veteran myself and mom of a veteran I know only too well the sacrifices made by families who have served! May ALL service members' homecomings be joyful! God bless our troops! Oh yeah, my brother served and so did my uncle. I guess you could say the military runs in our blood. 😉

Everyone oughta be ashamed of yourself saying mean and cruel about the military people come home to visit the loved ones. Also gave up part of there lives to serve and protect our USA. Some don’t even come home alive. I have a cousin that’s on the Vietnam war wall. MIA FORVER. SO OTHERS IN ALL WARS. BE THANKFUL WE ARE ALIVE. IS BECAUSE WHAT THE MILITARY DOES FOR US. I was born in a military hospital. JUST SHOW RESPECT. ITS NOT THAT HARD TO DO. JUST THINK ABOUT IT A GOOD LONG HARD WHAT THEY DO. JUST KEEP US SAFE. SCARFED THERE LIVES.

I'm retired military and I have a cringe issue with the folks showing up in uniforms to these "surprise functions", especially the ones that show up in their dress uniform. I don't know, for me it's weird or whatever....like they don't know who the person is.
