I've bought an old Speed Triple a while ago 2nd hand, and brought it into a Triumph Dealership to get it serviced. Saw the Rocket. Was fascinated. Took it for a spin about a year later, still having a 2021 R1 as a 2nd bike. Mind you, I did my "big" license like three years ago. Couldnt stop thinking about it. Sold the R1 and got a Rocket 3 R instead. So happy with it. The R1 would put me right into jail eventually, the Rocket 3 is the much wiser choice!

Ive had my 23 Rocket 3 GT for around 6 months and it's an amazing bike, so easy to ride, and so much fun especially once you tune it to remove the throttle restrictions. I've had 50 plus bikes over my nearly 60years of riding Including ZX14s, Hayabusa's, and Aprilia's and this is hands down the best ride by miles

Hi. Can you tell me a little more about this tuning? How did you do it? Do you rewrite computer on the bike, or do you actually removing some parts from the bike? And what about traction control? Is it still there? Thank you.

I put mid pegs and the speed shifter on my 2020 GT and highly recommend both. Pegging the throttle and never letting up as you run through the gears is crazy awesome. 73,000 miles on mine. When this one wears out I will be getting another Rocket 3. I still grin like an idiot every time I get on it.

I have a 2023 Rocket 3R Chrome edition. I love it. I rode sport bikes for 30 years, and road raced for 10. I would not have it as my only bike, but it is currently the most fun bike I own. The chrome edition is just magnificent. For 30 years a Harley rider never waved at me, only sport bike riders. On the Rocket 3R, everyone waves. It almost doubles the amount of people you can hang with at lunch. I vastly prefer the 3R mid controls over the 3GT forward controls. But that's because I still ride sport bikes and on the track occasionally. The wide bars contribute to a very easy to handle bike. It is an absolute dream on medium to fast windy roads. The burble on downshifts make me smile! I have the quick shifter, and I highly recommend it if you come from sport bikes. I have heated grips, and I installed the back rest so my gal won't fall off when she comes for a ride. Unfortunately I got a nail in my rear tire in the first two weeks. The stock Avon tires are difficult to obtain, but Metzler makes tires for the Rocket 3, and they are great. Pay attention to where you park, because it's so heavy (I am strong and 6'2"). It makes my Yamaha MT10 feel like a mountain bike when moving the bike on the driveway.

In summation: I'm 79 years old and have owned 29 new big bikes including a 380 hp Boss Hoss. The R3 GT, (2021) is,,on balance, the finest machine I've ever owned. Mine has the BT Moto flash. Great power, the smoothest shifting up and down quick shifting trans, easy handling and very comfortable! The fit and finish are also top notch. I can't say enough about this bike!

You kill me!!! I've got a 2016 Triumph Rocket III roadster, highly modified & highly customized. It has 260hp & 190ft/lbs. of torque. It's a Total B-E-A-Utiful Beastie! 0-60 in 2.3seconds & the 1/4 mile in 9.6 seconds at 138mph. That's fun & will make any Man giggle😂

I have a 2020 Rocket GT i install a quickshifter on it and man what a difference it make it pull at a red light like a beast. I was suppose to buy a Street Glide but after i saw the spec number on the Rocket i change my mind a 2500cc 153 cubic inches in Harley number , even the new 2023 Harley CVO have 121 ci not even close to the Rocket.

Just rode one the other day and oh my god! That thing was so fun I’d love to just roll up on a sport bike and just be like “see ya!”✌🏼 What an incredible machine Everything was so smooth and responsive It weighs so much less then my 22 Harley ST so the handling was pretty impressive as well Now! Im actually going through with a lemon law so I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with that and what motorcycle is like to replace my Harley with

Hehe.... Yup, I own a '21 Rocket GT after owning big sports bikes for years, last was Kawasaki ZX14 Ninja. I love it. Does everything very nicely. Coincidentally, like you, we have a Rav 4 '20 that has the same size engine 😂 Why not! An absolutely awesome machine and a privilege to own. Adrian

I want one but I like the forward control like in the Triumph speedmaster 1200 (i get bad left knee ache arthritus on regular bikes that have my leg knee joint at 90d gree so is it the GT version I need for forward control (cruiser style ) ? thanks in advance .
@BackDraftBikes11 ай бұрын
If you can’t bend more than 90°, you may want to consider forward controls because you will get uncomfortable after a while

@@BackDraftBikes thanks for the reply but my question was, do I need to buy the rocket3 GT which has forward controls or not ? or is it the rocket 3 R that has forward controls ? in other words which of the rocket 3 line up has forward controls feet out front style ? . I ask because I saw a video of a rocket 3 R the rider seemed to be legs bent classic motorcycle riding position as opposed to your upload on the rocket 3 GT where you seem to have your legs extended forward in the classic cruiser style ? hope that clarifies my original question . OR can either rocket 3 model have forward control fitted ?

@@shadow-Sun The GT has forward controls... GT for Grand Touring. The R is more mid-mount. If you have knee issues, forward controls are a little better, so the feet are out front.

P.S. My 2016 Triumph Rocket III has forward controls and 18 inch apehanger bars. I've ridden the 2023 Triumph Rocket 3 GT. Because of all the mods and customization I've done on mine, there's not much difference. Except I've got a lot more hp & torque.
@NormKohn11 ай бұрын
The Rocket 3 GT has a fully adjustable suspension that needs to be set up for the rider's weight. You can make it much less harsh and quite comfortable for the long rides.

My friend had a 2024 Triumph Rocket 3 GT. His heads warped, bad, dealer was prepared to do the warranty work, but my friend chose to give up the Rocket 3 GT for a Triumph Scrambler 1200. I had to ask him, 'WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!?!? His reply was, 'I have no time or patience to deal with warranty work on a brand new motorcycle.' I asked, 'But you gave up on the best cycle on the road!? Every 6-8 months he's on a different bike. @rocketphilosophy My 260hp Triumph Rocket burned up in a fire this Thursday, along with my Triumph Thunderbird, and the Black Edition Chevy Avalanche that my Dad gave me before he pasted away. Not to mention all my tools, mechanic, and Carpenter tools. It's probably a $ 100,000 lose. Which insurance will pay only a fraction of that. Interesting, the only thing I cared about, was my Dad's truck. Utterly Devastating!!!😪
