The engine in the truck is the most wonderful thing about the entire truck… though it is a very cool rig, but that 30,000 mile 7.3 is absolute GOLD! Far superior to the garbage they build now

The initial production of “Revcon” were front wheel drive class A RVs, using Olds Toranado engine and transmission, from ‘71 to approximately ‘84. They were manufactured by the son-in-law of the creator of Airstream. I really like the 4x4 version the best! Thank you both for this tour!

2300 kw of solar and 680 ah of batteries! If society collapses he could power a little village of survivors all by himself. I'm used to thinking of the smallest and most portable solutions, but there are benefits to creating an excess, you can share with others. Foosd for thought for sure, I may have to reorganize my perspective a bit :)

Sweet. It still looks great. I'm impressed. We've got a 25yr old MH we're living in that doesn't look nearly as good as your older rig. We did the same as you, racking as much solar as our roof could hold. We were able to fit 4,400 watts on the roof of our 35ft coach (8, 550w panels) to charge our 320ah 48v battery that we only use for 120v ac power. We racked ours 15" off the roof to clear our front A/C and vents. We've got a tag axle too, as they were more popular back then to improve one's CCC, though other than the GMC, yours is the smallest RV I've seen with one - very unique. If you need more solar you might want to consider a side mounted liftable array like we built. Our 620w side array charges our 560ah 12v battery and it makes a nice window awning too. We haven't needed to run our generator in over 2 years of FT off grid living, so I'm thinking of removing our 5,500w built-in genny like you did to save over 200lbs. We removed our rear rooftop A/C like you did and added a 12k EG-4 mini split in our back bedroom. We love it, as it's dead quiet and uses 1/3 the power that our front rooftop A/C does. Your automatic button pushers are crazy cool! I've never seen anything like it. My niece gave me one of those Alexas once, but I threw it away as I was afraid someone could use it to spy on us, listening to what we say. At 68yrs old I'm a little slower than you on adopting all those high-tech gizmos. I barely understand what they do, let alone know how to use them, much less how to stop them from being used against me. Remember, you're not paranoid if people really are out to get you. 😉 I can't even scan those barcode box thingies with my phone, as I have a dinosaur of a phone. However, I do understand electricity, so I built our entire solar/battery system myself. Good luck to you. We hope to see you on the road some time. Chip & Cindy

The idea that you can boondock for 2 weeks and have plenty of power & water is amazing. I think this is the most power I’ve seen generated on an RV on this channel! Nice rig!

This build is awesome! He’s set for anything. I can’t believe it’s 30 years old. Shows how well made this is, and it was cared for by both previous owners. It looks super cool too. The top bunk area is huge compared to the ones I see being offered today.
