I've been out there camping and can attest that almost all roads or paths that could ever be considered for camping can be accessed using a slightly lifted van with a limited-slip differential, much less all-wheel drive, much less 4x4 with transfer case and granny gear, so it's easy to overthink a 4x4's usefulness. Add a detachable front and rear winch and aggressive off-road tires, learn how pullies and winches are used together, and with a decent amount of solid decision-making, you are good to go. A limited-slip rear end can be added to an existing differential in many cases, anyway. The full four-wheel drive might suggest more capability to its user than the vehicle can actually deliver. Just keep in mind that using a true 4x4 to get stuck further out and deeper, will require a machine bigger and more capable to get it back out.

None of these have 4x4 capabilities. A 4x4 has a transfer case. These are All Wheel Drive vehicles with no transfer case. Misleading title. Disclaimer..... Its not misleading if you haven't a clue what a true 4x4 drivetrain is.
