Really enjoyed this episode, it's nice to hear the perspective of a trader that's been in the game for 20+ years & still is a firm believer in a scalping strategy over a swing trading strategy which most traders seem to adopt as there trading years increase, some real good variety recently :)

Great interview with David. That was an honest discussion of trading as it is, not what some want it to be. It's just like you guys stressed: it's all about risk management; the profits will take care of themselves. I'm a day trader by proclamation, but a scalper from a risk management standpoint - when I follow my rules. FX carry trades make me a lot of money when they hit, but if I just go flat at the end of the day and step up to the plate fresh in the morning my net daily wins generally exceed the over all win on a carry trade when divided by the number of days held. But, again as you both mentioned: no one wants to hear that..... By the way - I bought David's book. Thanks for the effort writing it!

Seeking your wisdom--Over thousands of trades market movements are random--so we can assume that smaller distances are more likely to get filled back and forth(say 30 pips) compared to bigger distances (say 60 pips)--so we want to nail larger distance when ever market LUCKILY gives that larger move & still control drawdown with hedge order in place of stop loss order--that gives you one more shot to break even with no additional risk exposure. So if pair has daily ADR of 100 pips, expect to see enough filled orders at the end of the week. Academic literature has never researched this common sense which can make $$ for ivory towers MEN.

Funded companies have these trailing drawdowns, that wipe traders out. Money making business for these funding companies
