She rolled her eyes and said yes but accidentally called me Leroy but I know her humour so awkwardly laughed. 2nd month. After tantrums and feeling sick she went to the docs who immediately gave her a pregnancy test. She came home and broke the news that I got her pregnant and that I am one of the rare few men who can make babies even after the Snip and firing blanks. I cried and thanked her for giving me a family. I asked her to marry me but she said only if I take her name and accept her family history of having black people in it a century ago so the skin colour may skip three generations and onto my child. I said yes of course and gave her her best three minutes of sex she’s ever had. Six months later I redecorated the house in her style and even put it in her name. She thanked me. Eight months. We married with her surname and I met my Best Man whom was named Leroy whom is my gardener.she picked him to be my best man. I thanked her. The ninth month came and our baby Leroy came and she said that due to my white privilege I have to move out and put free Palestine on my Facebook profile. She said I can see my cute black son when I vote Kamala like a good little democrat

I think the biggest part that also drives this debate is that they find common ground, and see where their similarities in idea are. It’s important to separate facts and common ground from opinions to keep the debate healthy. It’s about the ideas they believe, and not the person themselves. Honestly, we need more of this in everyday life and universities. It’s important to band together as US citizens, voice our concerns, but also find common ground to make sure everyone can prosper.

@Quasar-fv8toАй бұрын
@@JohnDelmas no, the difference between him and most republicans is the fact that most republicans dont believe J6 was a coup, by any metric of the word. Republicans also think coups are bad, interestingly enough. You define a peaceful protest where cops (who follow orders and dont do things against orders) shuffle people into a building and Nancy Pelosi REFUSES extra security for that building with prior notice, you have the logical conclusion that it was a psyop to demonize Trump more for the potential 2024 election (which he won because america didnt believe the lies). We just gonna put our fingers in our ears and ignore the dozens of examples over the years of the CIA and FBI weaponizing their powers agains the american people like the twitter files that showed CIA operatives ordering twitter to ban political rivals of the DNC? I think the reason Ben even considers J6 anything more than a peaceful protest co-opted by the DNC as a weapon is because he wants to put his foot in the mental door of radicalized leftists to at least breath reasoning into their brains.

It's a little uncanny and a bit concerning that when previewing comments before I dive into the video, almost every comment is gushing about how wonderful it is that the conversation is civil. While I understand and sympathize with the overwhelming desire to have grounded conversations considering the state of public discourse...everywhere, this is a 2.5 hour video and the top comments are priming me to expect that very little of substance will be in the video itself because all the comments are ONLY about how civil the conversation was. Normally in videos, comments are filled with people zoning in on specific topics that get mentioned, discussing the specifics of what one person or another has said and either picking it apart or responding to it by adding further clarifying details. When I sorted comments by new, things were a lot more specific and came across a lot less...performative/masturbatory, which made me more excited for the video. But the whole thing does scratch at a suspicion I've had for a while now that because our public platforms for discourse is so awful, some people conflate more heated discussions with bad faith discussions because people tend to get angry and heated when their opponents argue in bad faith. And depending on who you agree with, you won't notice the bad faith habits of your ideological ally in the debate but will notice all the bad faith arguments of your ideological opponent, which is why most modern debates are associated with performative rage-bait and polarizing audiences into even smaller echo chambers. Throw in the fact that one side or another might start screaming back in bad faith defensively because the other side started it first, the whole thing turns into a mess really quickly. But good faith heated debates also happen, especially when serious topics are discussed. In fact, if people aren't getting a little heated in discussions about really serious topics, it's kind of a red flag indicating the possibility that the aesthetics of civility is more important than the lives affected by the politics being discussed. You run into a similar echo chamber problem running into reverse--whereas bloodsport debates are useless because nothing gets done, with the target audience being people addicted to rage, a debate running purely on civility politics becomes useless because both sides go out of their way to not challenge their opponents, to avoid controversial topics, etc etc. Anyone who cares about the subjects at hand usually end up not being the target audience--and the people who enjoy the debates are people who see politics as a game rather than a force controlling the lives of millions, often threatening their ability to survive. I'm honestly a bit pessimistic about how this video will turn out. I hope very much I'll be proven very wrong and feel very silly by the end of it.

🧑💻I believe the advice they gave at the end is the bedrock of intellectual honesty. I challenge each person watching to personally try and do those three things every single day and I guarantee this country improves. 🧑🔬 🤓Advice from Ben and Destiny from my perspective: 🧠1 - Argue both sides of an issue effectively, admit you're biased when you do engage or don't engage, you're too biased. 🔬2 - Allow yourself to be moved from or to a position on an issue, admit you're biased when you do engage or don't engage, you're too biased. 📚 3 - Read a lot of things from a lot of different perspectives. The overlap is the truth. The rest is extrapolated opinions from different premises

I would watch a weekly (or daily) talk show featuring Ben Shapiro and Destiny. Hearing calm and logical conversations about different political opinions feels SO mentally refreshing. This is what America NEEDS right now. I would pay, subscribe, or contribute whatever it takes to make this happen. The cadence and emotional intelligence regarding the subjects could be the cure for the divisive poison in our country. This might sound extravagant but this seriously helped cure my "political depression" (if that makes sense?).

I live in England and this extreme polarisation to the point where you're expected to dehumanise and hate with a vengeance people with a different point of view, MSM along with social media has fueled that mentality and it's happened here and in other western countries Canada, Australia and it came from the left leaning media, I'm Gen X voted Labour left wing till they started with the extremist must hate anyone with a different political opinion, plus the BBC and Sky News tell out right lies, I can't believe to get get half the truth I've had to turn to right-wing Conservative news outlets, the BBC as been very antisemitic and anyone that voted Brexit,( I would have voted leave if hadn't been in prison at the time) the BBC literally did everything they could and Labour to overturn the result and the BBC are meant to be neutral because their publicly funded and they pushed the all Brexiteers are racist and stupid, but the EU have had terrible policy for the UK the freedom of movement meant all the people in poor EU countries just headed to Britain for benefits and take advantage of healthcare family benefits and like the illegal migrants they abuse the system and instead of trying for asylum in the first country they head to the UK because were soft, just had an Afghan refused refugee status twice and after exposing himself and sexual assault, got a vicar to claim he'dbecome Christian and he's done a chemical attackon a woman, the leftwing has been taken over by Islamists, Destiny seems to be able to listen and see the useful idiots backing Hamas and Islamic extremism, it does make a change to hear a respectful disagreement, I was not a fan of Trump but he was much better for America, Biden is a straight crook, Putin isn't a nice bloke but Ukraine is a corrupt puppet government American foreign policy in Ukraine and keeping Russia as the boggy man instead of working to get the Russian to feel part of the west after the end of the cold war hasn't been a great idea and UK is just the same, now in the middle East the two western countries involved is the US UK, but you'll never change Islamists they're indoctrinated into the death cult, Iran is trouble and it's true what Sharpio with Iran there's no talking to the religious crazies, it was Britain and the US made Iran what it is today, women used to walk around in bikinis, the left has taken an extreme Islamist view, but Destiny has looked at the problems and gets the Israelis can't not get rid of Hamas and it's not just the leadership of Palestine the people have been indoctrinated to hate Jews, they have a kids TV programme a mouse Farfour telling small children to hate Jews and they both know the problems, agree on some ways to deal with it, if Destiny watched a few KZbin channels, people in Gaza blame Jews not the government for their problems and not Hamas, year's of indoctrination, Sharpio is right about Trump wasn't insurrection the Democrats weaponising the DOJ to try stop him from running, both described as poles apart but they seemed to agree on a hell of a lot more than they disagree, I think for them to do this on a regular basis maybe do a podcast together and show that two guys with differences can sit in a room and I think they could be genuine freinds unless I miss read that debate they both seemed to enjoy it and those laughs and smiles seemed real and watching them might make people take a look at their cultist views and one day start go for a beer and speak to that family member they disowned over voting differently. The only thing was Destiny thinking he could be a third term POTUS was a touch of TDS, if we keep this polarised attitude towards each other the country won't heal, the woke junk white privilege is BS needs dropping, here in the UK it's white working class boys doing worst in schools. This is what people need to see even when they disagreed they found some common ground.
