Wonderful. I love your vlogs because they are so soothing and help me to relax. -_- As for the question "traditional or modern", I prefer living in a traditional house, but one that offers the amenities of modern housing inside. Best of both worlds so to speak.

Some of the “outdoor baths” in the West we call “hot tubs” though not exactly for bathing, but more being with others. We don’t always use heavy wood covers to keep them heated, though we do use plastic tarps to keep out the leaves/pine straw/branches that might come from it in a backyard.

Hello again my friend and thanks for the great video. This is such a beautiful Japanese style hotel but it is rather dear (deer get it!! Sorry for bad joke! 😆) isn't it for 1 night but if you've got the money then go for it. The room was lovely and I haven't got anything to complain about this hotel. It's just a really nice place and the view from the rooftop is fantastic. Take care of yourself and have a great weekend. PS with restrictions finally being dropped for solo travellers, I've booked my holiday in Japan for sakura season next year. I can't wait to come back and see my friends again.

I've been to Nara, and I laughed as other people were feeding the deer, which can get quite desperate at times and gang up on you. The deer there will bow to you when they think you have food. So cute! There is a private garden behind the Buddhism Museum that you can escape to get away from the deer, which looked gorgeous with Cherry blossoms when I went. For me, Kyoto and Nara must be visited. Each city is only around 30 mins by train from Osaka, which makes for affordable day trips if you are staying there (hotels are cheaper in Osaka). That ryokan was fantastic, though.

I'm curious to see how busy these places get once tourism opens back up next month. Something appealing about a place like this and the quietness is that very few other people are around. @@travelloveranna If I do, I will let you know. =-) I took a look back at the video, I did not see any english on the package, so I figured its some sort of deer themed snack. Knowing me, I'd probably think its a dry cracker and just eat it since I do like plain dry whole wheat type crackers occasionally.

Normally Nara is much less visitors than Kyoto. There is a bus coach from Kansai International Airport to Nara. If you use train from Kyoto, you have to change at Osaka. Nara is oldest capital city in Japan.

Also this temples have maintenance company called Kongo Gumi which is oldest company in the world, something like 1500 years old. I used the safe once before in Canada to lock up my camera. Unfortunately, the lock broke and we had to get the in-house locksmith to open it. :) Here, where I live, there are hardly any old houses. They were almost all destroyed in the 2nd World War. The food looked very appetising. Yukata in shades of red, of course. :) Sometimes the camera is too fast for me.

That's a beautiful hotel, but $230 for a single night is pretty expensive. I'm planning to travel to Japan in 2 or 3 years. So maybe I'll stay there a night. It definitely looks like a unique experience. But I have a question. Did you have a friend with you or did you have to share the dinner/breakfast table with a stranger? That would be really awkward. And regarding your yukata question I'd say the purple (lilac) yukata looked better.

@@travelloveranna I definitely never stayed in a hotel like this, so maybe it's normal price for it. I stayed in multiple hotels in my life so far and not a single one was this expensive. I looked up some hotels to stay in in Japan and I even found 5 star hotels that cost under 1000€ for 6 nights. Tbf it's only with breakfast, but that's enough for me. It seems to be a normal price for Ryokans tho.
