230 yard target shooting my 223 remington.

I believe that your position changed under recoil as you were not using a rear bag, it's all good though, my suggestion is to try a rear bag to keep the rifle for shifting in your shoulder. also, you were using a can on the end of your barrel and although maybe not the culprit, it does dampen the oscillation of the barrel to a degree and as it heats up that oscillation will change, what was your load if those were handcrafted rounds? -Dave

Hi dave I used 55 grain Sierra game kings with hodgdon H322 and lapua brass. I use a can because that's my hunting rifle I'm getting a small break for it soon. The sand bag does work well your spot on there but I forgot it on that day but it was just a bit of fun really. Hope you're well buddy - mike
