@@John-1234 they gave me one solution but it reduced my performance a bit. They Guided me to Bios setting (pressing f2 while booting) then asked me to go to more settings, then configuration, then asked me to find something called battery protection and turn it on(by default it was turned off). What it does that it will restrict any battery usage while plugged in. So no battery drain there but it will reduce the performance.

I did think there was such a feature to disable battery drain at the cost of performance, never thought that Lenovo would recommend that instead of replacing the charger.I guess I got lucky with the replacement and lodged the complainant during a time window where Lenovo was just replacing the chargers of those who asked for it

Quick tip: when on the call, tell them that you have already updated to the latest bios version, they just took access, generated a diagnostic report and just asked to install Rescue lens on phone Didn't tell me to do anything at all, no screen recording nothing.

I will be honest. With 170 w charger, battery used to drain and as power was taken from battery the battery would heat up. Today got the 230 w charger. Battery drain has stopped plus as power is coming directly from charger battery says cool.. i guess that will save ur battery in the long run

Second time i called them , gave them the old serial number saying that even after fixes problems not fixed. After checking everything they will send you a link where you have to submit the video.
