Thanks for the content. Larapinta is on my list to do. I will do it in the summer to avoid the cold nights and mornings, as I live in Cairns, so I'm used to the heat and not the cold.

Good luck! Early April and September are probably better as the trail is open and still very hot. When I did it, it was still hot at night only started to cool down at 2am except for the last night when the cool change came through

Just finished hiking in Girraween QLD in middle of summer , and I completely relate to the heat and how exhausting it can be!

Hello from South Australia. Hoping to hike the Larapinta in October. Got inspired by your GPT video ( and the fact the Grampians are only 2 hours from me) and did the trail last year.

Very nice! Although it is going to be very hot in October. The weather starts to heat up end of August

Loved watching your adventure. Seeing you struggle in the heat and not try to hide it kept it real. Sleeping out in the open makes you a braver person than me, i would have felt very exposed while i slept. Hoping to do the Larry next year for my 50th.

Ooooh good luck! The Larapinta was my first time sleeping in the open and weird to start with… but with a nice night it is amazing to see the stars !!

l found your channel a while back and watched all your walks, really enjoyed them and subscribed, really good to see a new walk after you took a break for a while, just an idea what about the Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia, its one of the longest and best walks in Australia

You are an inspiration! Smashing out those KMs. Question - how would you describe your fitness level? Do you do much exercise between hikes?
@ImogenBall
@ImogenBall 6 ай бұрын
Awww thanks so much!! I’ve always been very active and love running in my free time. However have done a few hikes with no real fitness prep and generally a few days in it gets easier. A lot of it is mental fitness 😁

Amazing! Looking to do this June next year. Could I ask what hiking shoes you're wearing? Thanks!
@ImogenBall
@ImogenBall 2 ай бұрын
I like to wear trail runner because they are lighter and prevent blisters for me compared to hiking boots. Only downside is there is no ankle support.

Great video, thank you! What time of year did you walk the trailer?
@ImogenBall

Thankyou!!! I walked at the start of April which is still quite hot. Recommend between Late April and early August. Although the nights will be really cold late May to mid July.

Awesome video. Did you do food drops on the trail? How easy was it to refill water along the trail?

Thank you so much! Yes, I had one at Ellery creek south and between every section there are water tanks monitored by the rangers….😁😁
