This was a brilliant conversation. Could listen to Gerard talk all day. Can't believe I can synch the radio to the TV. Bye bye BT, hello SEN - this a massive game changer, love it.

Just a small sample of what Gerard was talking about. Through the 80s, as a Geelong fan, there was nothing better than getting to KP after kicking the dew off grass in the morning playing junior footy on a Saturday morning. Took Geelong until Malcolm Blight getting to KP 1989 to sort of take the club seriously. So watching Gazza was the major highlight in those days pre 1989. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2GVq62oYtybppo

Whateley is talking about external noise and sensationalism in the media. Strong Clubs keep to their internal processes and focus on the next contest. Don’t go down the American path and destroy this unique game. Protect the essence of the game from the toxins of Corporatism and greed

@@tin-n-tan I know. AFL House is a cesspool of corrupt and greedy individuals, which is why they continue to interfere with the game. They don’t care about traditions, they certainly dont care about the players. Even the AFLPA association is a toothless tiger that doesn’t really represent the interests of the players. They occasionally push for better conditions for rookies and retired players to make it look relevant and needed. Ultimately the AFLPA is a tool of the AFL. What did the AFLPA do and say during the pandemic? Followed the narrative like a good little boy - didn’t say boo
