I've done the exact same thing except in a sand drag rail .our 2234 turbo engine would tear a Trans apart in 4 passes. Only did that for one summer before going with a B&J 2 speed top fuel bike Trans. Good luck guys you guys are best team in my opinion. 👍👍👍

What cam and compression are you running on that engine? I am liking the welded manifolds, the crazy nice header, and your ratcheting crescent wrench for the pulley bolt among other things. I did not know Jeff D was still doing heads. Isn't your green oval his old VW? Oh, and congrats to the new one on the way (I happened to read it somewhere just late to the party). Do you guys have contact info or a website link for your shop? Great vid as always!

The old patina car was Jeff’s “old blue” that I transformed into Broomhilda My 57 came from Oregon it was never his and yes he still does my heads and has been doing my heads for the better part of 12 years. He’s been good to me. I had CW service and chamber a few of the old heads I used before but I use Denham only now. This engine is not that wild it’s 10.5 and has an off the shelf 86c clearances by Shawn and I advanced it 2.1 degree has. Engine has gone 1.5 hours at 70mph average and not had any issues with it. It’s got nice rods and custom pistons the HP is achieved by the components not strictly compression or cam. The port work is done by DBK member Miguel Ruiz

Sorry, but the leakdown tester doesn't work that way. First you are supposed to apply air pressure so that the leak gauge goes to zero, and then connect it to the cylinder. Also 0% leakdown in any engine is very unlikely.

I would do the autocraft next season but for now will go back to it I been racing non stop for years it’s the first time this happens I’m ok with putting on a new case and trying it again I have a race in 1 month I have no time to waste beside the case broke where o had a machined in hole that housed a sensor at one point so the crack started there and broke around the whole thing I will try to harness the trans from the top but not changing to much Being at minimum weight on the category of racing I participate in is crucial we are all within one tenth of a second of each other
