Not the same as #1 he was passing and sliding into the wall , the front right hit the wall first . He kept the car up on the wall and teams should work together but not to stop other car of teams . Bill # 20 did a good job keeping that car go forward - if he let that car get out of control it would been a bad accident with lots of other drivers .

I'm a new fan so help me understand. If you rub a car against a solid object like the outside wall it would create friction. Friction creates drag which would slow a car rather than increase its speed. What am I missing here?

Here's how it works. These cars have a lot of horse power. On small tracks like Martinsville, which is a half mile track, they can't run full throttle. They have to feather the throttle on and off and even use breaks in the turns. If you try to run full throttle without being against the wall you willl slam into it hard. Basically you will crash. But if your car is already against the wall, you can ride it full throttle and can't crash into it because you are already against it. Like a flipper machine ball. Thats Called , "Wall Riding" and NASCAR banned it after Ross Chastain did that very same thing at Martinsville to gain positions on the last lap at Martinsville in 2022. There was no rules agaisnt it at that time because it has never been done until Chastain did it. NASCAR banned it calling it an unsafe procedure. Christopher Bell knew he violated the rule. Thats why he was so quiet and embarressed because he knew he would be called out for it.

@CatO9lives I disagree. Sure, he came into the wall after a pass. But, you could see him trying to steer off of it. In this one instance, you and Nascar, are wrong. In my opinion.

How about Chevrolet and Hendricks 24 with the race manipulation? Shoudn't Byron's 24 be disqualified, same as Bell's 20 ? He was more guilty or as guilty as the 20 . Was not the Chevrolets creating a dangerous situation by blocking other cars and helping 24. RIGGED OUTCOMES.

The #24 is a Hendricks car... NASCAR doesn't take them out of the playoffs over poor sportsmanship like that, but they have added an extra berth in the playoffs for... (drumroll please)... the #24 when there was no other way for it to make it into the playoffs.

@BruceWitcpalek-ws1rh They had no choice... it failed to make minimum weight, even after 2 attempts to replace all its fluids, etc. A video playback appears that the car lost a weight on the track, a major fine, driver, & car owner points, plus crew chief suspension minimum... and NASCAR confiscates the car for a COMPLETE teardown, meaning any cheats HMS had hidden out of sight would likely be found, throwing a cloud over the entire organization. Rick and Jeff Gordon had no choice but to suck it up and accept the penalty without appealing. Given their history (and NASCAR's history regarding them), it's pretty much the only logical explanation for their unprecedented response.

Bubba needs to go. Blames everything on others not his driving. He would have never made it in the days of Earnhardt, Gordon, Johnson, Waltrip

NASCAR is Consistently Inconsistent! Always has been! But it always seems certain owners always end up on top! 🤔
