Great video, thanks! I'm about to order the 23zero 270 awning and have the same Rhino rack bars you have. Can you provide details on exactly what size channel bolts i will need to get? These don't look like the ones Rhino sells.

This wasn't my car, Joey, I'm not overly familiar with the Rhino rack system sorry. It will be best to just use the brackets that come with the awning, and then use the channel bolts that are compatible with your rack to attach them. I hope that makes sense. ~ Ben

Can you open this as a 180deg instead of the full 270deg? I know some of them you can :)

Yep - the awning has straps for anchoring the extra 270 extrusion, preventing it from fully opening out. ~ Lauren

How does this awning go with water? I had the Darche 270 awning and the bag wasn't able to prevent water ingress while it rained? Have you had any complaints about that? Cheers
@SnowysOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
We haven't had any major issues with water ingress, Jake, I wouldn't say it was any different than the Darche awning though. All the covers are PVC and they aren't seam sealed, so there is always going to be a change of a bit of water ingress on any waning. ~ Ben

I disagree with tones of shelter at the back...the Darche Eclipse has an extra arm that provides a wider footprint at the back...however I do like the extra flap with eyelets to close that gap
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Darche does have an extra arm at the back of their shelter El Scruffo McScruffy, but 23Zero have specifically done away with this as a point of difference. Removing this arm allows more space for lift up tailgates to open without coming into contact with the arms above. So they have done away with a little bit of space, but enhanced usability for certain vehicles. Both options have merits, it's all up to the individual as to what works best for them. ~ Ben

Is this free standing or do you need the poles? If free standing what kind of conditions can it handle?
@SnowysOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
23Zero claim this to be freestanding only for setup and pack down, Matt, it's not designed to be used as a free standing shelter. you'd need to take care during set up and pack down in windy weather too. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoorsthat’s interesting as it says freestanding on all of 23 zero advertising and they have that in fine print

Looks to be a well built awning. Does it come in a drivers side configuration?
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
As far as we know there is only the passenger side available at the moment, Will, but I reckon you'll likely see both options available in the hopefully not too distant future. Rest assured it will be available on our website once/if it does become available. ~ Ben

Hi Will, 23Zero have finally brought out a drivers side awning but have called it the Peregrine, it now also comes with LST (Light Suppression Technology). You can check it out here - www.snowys.com.au/peregrine-270-awning-with-lst. ~ Ben

Can you buy two flaps for both rails to close both gaps simultaneously?
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Unfortuantely you can't, Scott, at least not at the moment anyway. Maybe if enough people ask for it 23Zero may consider making it as an accessory. ~ Ben

Don't see the shade on the side!

Cant help the position of the sun - obviously if you're out camping you'd park your vehicle with the best orientation for shade. ~ Lauren
