Waiting on my 180R to come in. Front runner roof rack with 23zero 72 Walkabout opening on passenger with annex, and driver side has ARB 8’ awning with annex. The 180R will fit on the back with walls, and allow us to walk/function/live fully around the JKUR in any climate. Can also use any of them independently, and capable of being fluid in most situations.

How much additional height does it add to your overall vehicle height? I only have 8 inches from my 4Runner crossbars to the bottom of my garage door when opened.

Great video; the tent that I want will sit 7” past my rack; would these brackets allow me to clear that amount of gap?

It's interesting that you mounted it on the back instead of the side. They do make a 270 awning also so that got me curious how that would work mounted in the back. 🤔

Thanks for the video! Do you think the 180r have enough shade coverage? Planing to mount it on the side of the truck, but I’m concerned that it might be useless for shade.

Were those 1/4-20 bolts? My time is limited before my first use and getting some brackets fab'd up. Need to know hole size and get them purchased without having to add multiple trips to the store. Thanks.

I've been looking for an awning for the rear of my suv. 5ft might be a but wide, wonder if there's a 4ft?

Awesome video, been looking for something like this for my jeep too, as I use the back cook out of too. But what are the dimensions from 2here it hooks up to, to the edge with wise? It looks like if barley God past the tailmgate(with wise)

The main square part coming off the back is basically 5ft by 5ft. Then the wings span out 5 ft but hare out on an angle. For me its perfect as I have have cooked in the rain many times and the wing out covers me perfect. As for how far out from the tailgate when it is open the awning extends out one foot past the tailgate.

Was thinking the same thing, the sun would have to be right overhead and you don't have much room to put a table and couple of chairs. Maybe its only for working from the back/ side of the vehicle? Thinking this thing is not really useful in the open spaces of the west, don't see too many of them being used in Moab for instance. Have a couple of the 13x13 Coleman shades and they are great when the sun is kindof overhead but any other time of the day you need to move your chairs and table around to follow the shade or your legs will burn.

This set up is really useful when you are working in the back, e.g. preparing food or cooking. It will provide shelter from the sun and rain. I don't think it's useful for anything more than that tbh.

I wonder if I could install this on my JKU somehow without a rack. I have not gone the rack route since I go topless often

I think you would have to find a rack that mounts down to the Jeep body as you have a soft top.
