Redesigned in 2023, the Portax K, now offers a new front bow and roof- taking advantage of advancements in aerodynamic design. Design changes brought a wider front bow with roomier tack locker - taller for more storage. The top of the tack locker has smooth edges, designed to reduce the chance of cribbing on the locker. It also offers drainage in its curvy top, making it easier to spray off and clean. A wider bow also means more room for the taller horses! The change in tack locker design provides space for the portable feed/water buckets - answering customer feedback!
A further addition to the Portax K are two large magnetic panel holders. These magnets will secure the rear panel in an open position making it easier to load on your own. Also an advantage if you are tacking up on the trailer!
A 7'8" internal height with two 33" wide stalls, the Portax K easily accommodates horses wearing up to an 84" blanket, in this standard stall setup. Two sliding, tinted lateral windows, plus a roof vent, creates a comfortable space for different size horses. Adjust chest bar heights and rear stall bar positions to best fit the horses that are on board- everyone wants their seat belt to fit!
The Portax K is built on a galvanized steel chassis with anodized aluminum double wall panels that have an air pocket to insulate the trailer. Polyester roof reflects the summer sun's heat to keep the trailer cool relative to the external air. Conversely in winter, it aids to keep the horses warm. Rubber mat glued to the aluminum plank flooring (20 Year Warranty on that floor!), and sealed at the wall edges.
The tack locker has 2 saddle racks that swivel out to meet you at the groom door- suitable for both English and Western saddles. Internal stall lighting offers both the white and blue light, and the saddle cupboard also has a light. 2 hay rings in the roof and one on the tack locker, trailer tie rings, rear door-ramp combination (switch from ramp entry to step up), and external releases for all stall bars, creates a trailer that considers the needs of you and your horses.
