I have SIEMENS TIA PORTAL PLC (1500) and ABB ACS580 and ProfiBUS between them. Can't find "running" status in control words. Can find only Ready for running RDY_RUN - but it's not it. I need get bool for monitoring "is it still rotate motor or not?" RO2 - give it but... I need it by ProfiNET

Hi, so you mean to control drive without plc, not sure,i have never tried using modbus. But i know it will work with OPC without PLC.

I think ACS880 has virtual drive that comes with Drive composer software but you may need the license.

Hey, thank you for the video. This is interesting. I have a query about the ACS880 and AC500 CPU modbus communication. Q. Apart from writing the controlling parameters like start command, speed reference etc.. Can we write other VFD parameters through Modbus TCP using FMBT adapter with ACS880 VFD. This is required if we need to use the same setup to run for different scenarios

Yes, you can write to other parameters. You have to link those parameters in Data out in drive parameter configuration.

two drive acs 580(1&2) communicate each other with help of profibus cable but one drive operate then communication error found in line like a ON, OFF automatic but drive 1 bypass Karke dusra drive se line chalata hu to koe error nahi ata hai communication ka.

Cyclical communication between drive and fieldbus adapter module A or between PLC and fieldbus adapter module A is lost. 1. Check status of fieldbus communication. See user documentation of fieldbus interface.2. Check settings of parameter groups 50 Fieldbus adapter (FBA), 51 FBA A settings, 52 FBA A data in and 53 FBA A data out. 3. Check cable connections. 4. Check if communication master is able to communicate.
