How to read frequency, current, voltage and so on from Modbus RTU? Watch the video from 10:23 , it is going fast, so I'm explaining what is happening. I'm reading Modbus registry list from 40001 to 40012. Addresses from 1 to 4 are set by factory, however you can continue this setting to get whatever you want in number 5 or 6 or whatever you choose here. Now pause the video at 10:44 , here I have set the address 40009 to show me frequency on 32bits integer. This is whey when I went for laptop it could show me frequency at address 9 You can different formats, I choose 32bit to get more accuracy. You can choose current instead of frequency. You can even choose something which is not parameter, from other lists. From the time 10:44 to 10:50 , 4 times I pushed exit button, by following this path also you can see how I set address 9 to show me frequency.

Hi, do you need to wire up I/O terminals even when you want to run a machine from control display/keypad attached to the drive? ( I don’t do any external control). I just connected 3 phase input and 3 phase motor connection.

In the complete list of parameters 58.01 Embedded fieldbus, you enabling a protocol, and depending on which protocol you choose corresponding setup will appear. Then you just need to set these communication parameters match with other device which is going to communicate with this VFD. Profibus also is a serial communication similar to modbus RTU

In the video only 20 seconds from the time 6:20 to 6:40 are about protocol parameters. Even these parameters are similar for all serial communications like modbus RTU ot Profibus. So if you planning to set your VFD for Profibus all your parameters will be the same as in this video. You can get more help if write me in which time of video you need more information

Yes, RUSB-02 DDCS adaptor can help but basic ACS880 suppor requires that you have the DriveDA OPC server (included in Drive composer pro) installed. DDCS communication protocol also is not available for ACS880. You can check working manual "DriveWindow 2 User Manual - ABB"

Hello, sorry for late reply. Sure you can do that. Just consider Alarm and Interlock are different, Alarm will need resetting, Interlock doesn't need resetting. And both of them give you chances for NC or NO triggering. So you can apply any SOP scenario for a fire alarm.

this error appears when there is no connection between the control side and the power side of your driver. I need the code and the serial number of your Driver. how old is it? you need to check whether the controller is faulty or it's the communication shield or the connector cable. is the driver wall mount type? if the connection is fiber optic and its age is more than 4 years I recommend changing fiber cables. Yes, one of DI should be set to start by default but looks like you want to start and stop by pulse, so it's better to check the list of DI in I/O menu . You can also contact me through WhatsApp while setting your VFD. [phone]
