Ellie, you are going to LOVE Liveships!!! Its such a good trilogy. I think, possibly it is my favourite in The Realm of the Elderlings....although they are all amazing. I'm so excited for you!!! I'm also hoping to read Hyperion this year. It is one of my husbands favourite books and he has been trying to get me to read it for years, so I really must!! Happy reading 📚 ❤

Some great choices!!! I really enjoyed The Cabin at the End of the World! I read The Pallbearers Club last year and really enjoyed that too! I need to pick up more of his work. Becky Chambers is ALWAYS a win!!

Thank you, I have a feeling it's going to be a great reading year. Love Becky Chambers. Just finished Record of a Spaceborn Few and enjoyed it. Not my fave of hers, but still a fab book 😊

So many good books here! Hyperion is absolutely amazing. Just be aware that it is very hard not to go straight into book two when you finish Hyperion, so maybe carve out time for that. ;) Earthsea and The Word for World is Forest are also on my list, as well as a number of other books on your list. In terms of Le Guin, I also recommend The Dispossessed. The ideas explored in that book about societal structures are fascinating.

I am very excited for Hyperion! I hope I love it as much as everyone else seems to. Thank you for the recommendation, I will add The Dispossessed to my list. Le Guin sounds like such an interesting author. I hear she pushes boundaries and explores lots of interesting themes in her books. I'm looking forward to her works!

The Robin Hobbs books sounds really good, I may have to try to read them this year too. I am actually watching your vlog from hospital as I have pneumonia and a little poorly so want to thank you for letting me forget the IV antibiotics and nebulisers that are taking over my days. ❤

Ohh Maria, I'm sorry to hear you are poorly. Glad my video could give you some distraction and company during your hospital stay. Wishing you a swift recovery and sending lots of love ❤

Hi Ellie, what a brilliant choice of books. recently bought the lies of Loch lamora and the second book. I havent got around to reading Robin Hobb yet but like you I love sea based fantasy. Broms slewfoot is on my list and krampus. Sarah j maas is a must read for me. I liked the first book of Crescent city but I havent read the second book fully yet as currently reading it. Never heard of ursula k le guin but her books sound interesting. Emily Wilde is definitely on my list. Ive read the picture of dorien gray and enjoyed it. Hope your good and enjoyed your honeymoon. I saw your pictures on Instagram and it looked like you had a great time😊

Hello, thank you - I am really looking forward to all of these. I found the first half of Lies of Locke Lamora a bit slow, but the second half is fantastic so it's worth sticking with it. I also highly recommend the audio book. I'm excited for the new Sarah J Maas book. Hopefully she pulls the series back for me because I wasn't a huge fan of book 2 in the crescent city series 🙈 Ahh thank you - we are still on our honeymoon (I pre-filmed a few videos before we went away so there wouldn't be a gap). We are both having such an amazing time 😆 I hope you and your family are well ❤

I am excited to get to that one. I'm sure I'll love it, seeing as Head Full of Ghosts made it onto my top 10 list of 2023! I'm looking forward to Hyperion too. Are you still happy to pick it up in Feb? Would it be OK if we do second half of Feb? 😊
@johnbeasley32589 ай бұрын
@@bibbidibobbidibooks second half of February is perfect for me, I've got about 4 books on the go so I'll have time to finish them. Hyperion will be epic!

I've been meaning to get to Locke Lamora for forever, but the size intimidates me. I hope you enjoy The Child Thief more than I did!
@bibbidibobbidibooks8 ай бұрын
I recommend the audio book for Locke Lamora. It's a lot of fun (although lots of information and world building in the beginning). Oh no, sorry to hear you didn't enjoy The Child Theif. I loved Krampus, so fingers crossed it will work for me. Thanks for stopping by ❤

I want to read the rest of Brom as well. I still have Lost Gods and the Child Thief to read. I've heard the Lost Gods has a character or some connection to Krampus.
