I love your hair. Your length is my goal. I'm at 20 inches and I keep it away all the time to retain length. One more year and I'll start enjoying it like you.

I just want to honestly thank you. I came across your channel typing in long natural hair and since your hair type is exactly what mine is but I am also high porosity, I studied your technique of moisturizing on wash day, not using gel, not using a hair dryer to stretch my hair and can honestly say I have started to see less breakage from doing flat twist outs, with using water on my ends only and sealing with my hair grease mixed with mango butter. I started your regime about a week and a half ago on wash day and I also make sure I twist it back up every night. I was mainly doing wash and gos with gel and was hair dryer stretching almost every other day and my hair stayed dry and tangly most of the time. If it wasn't for you explaining that I don't constantly need water on the length where I would develop so much shrinkage then need to stretch with heat, I would never be able to grow my hair. I can tell with following the precise advice you give, I will probably finally be able to gain length. I'm only at shoulder length and it's been a struggle to get there but I am now excited about my hair. You've been a blessing! And your hair is absolutely gorgeous!

I love this video. I like how you just style your hair every day and you enjoy it. I like how you don’t seem to always feel like you need to tuck it or anything like that. Did you usually tuck it in the beginning or you always just style it with accessories?

KZbin recommended your channel to me recently. I just want to say you have such a gorgeous spirit that shines through. Your positive attitude is really refreshing! I’m still new-ish on my natural journey but seeing your hair with curlers is definitely inspiring. It looked so great on you! Also, congrats on getting into uni! 🎉

I have been using your methods for a couple of months and I have been loving it but I have one problem, my ends are thin, keep getting tangled/knotted and I'm beginning to see split ends too. This might be because of the permanent dye I put in a long time ago and I am trying to imagine these are practice ends but I realistically can't keep cutting my ends. Do you have any advice for me? Can you make a video about protecting ends?
@mchjsosde4 ай бұрын
I'm just anything commentor but: As the dyed hair gets older it will get frailer and frailer unfortunately. I've had dyed hair break right at the place it meets my virgin hair. But I also have naturally fine hair strands which frankly will split and break no matter what I do. I've started coating my ends in oil (I use aunt Jackie's grape seed&avocado) and it makes my ends feel smooth and moisturized again when my other products left them noticably dryer compared to the rest of my hair. I also occasionally dust (not trim) my hair, and sometimes I do it with thinning scissors so I can keep *some* length. I would also consider if may if they are breaking from physical stress? Hair bands, protective styling takedown, detangling/combing, not wearing a bonnet can all damage your ends too. Good luck to you!

Basically you haven't added products for most part of the journey. Is your hair low porosity or high porosity?
@ifshesopleases4 ай бұрын
That's one of the things, yes. But as you saw, there were so many other take-aways :) I definitely would not recommend not adding products as I was doing as I am currently changing things up to reduce breakage, and take care of the health of my hair. I am historically low porosity, however, I think it's time to revaluate as I have noticed changes in my hair due to changes in my regimen.
@user-eb5wq3vi2j4 ай бұрын
@@ifshesopleases Maybe you should try greasing your scalp in between washes. I have to do that to keep my hair moisturized because of my high porosity and thin strands. And I have to use grease for that because oils don't moisturize my hair enough.
