Dutch is a language very regularly using an ij combination. It's the only language the ij-ligature is used in: ij, IJ. And note, because it is one sound, they have to be both capitalised at the beginning of a word: IJssel and not Ijssel. That's why, contrarily to the Cz ligature, there is no version with the first letter capitalised and the second small. Just a little detail right there. Hope you like it.

@@kevinking74 Oops, I meant digraph instead of ligature. Some fonts (like Circular) do include a distinct IJ-ligature, but usually not. And it's the Dz digraph, I thought it was Cz.

@@casperdewith No problem Casper - thank you for the update! In most font implementations, I have seen that the >ij< is spaced closer together, and is selected through OpenType language features which will activate when someone uses the Dutch keyboard. I have seen many italic fonts do an >ij< ligature where the i and j are joined however, which is how you would write that form, right?
