Cutting the longer logs is not so bad once you figure it out. It just takes me awhile to figure it out. What a Doomas! Thanks for watching, leave us a comment below.

I cut a 30' beam on my mill the same way. Where there is a will, there is a way.. Good job, thanks for the videos..

I really like your ambition and motivation. I’m a fellow Jawja boy that will try about anything myself , under the circumstances that my crew is the same size yours is,,, just me. Much respect. I have cut some 20 foot beams on my saw that only runs 17.6 by finishing with my chain saw. Wasn’t perfect, but it got me by. AC

When i get my band mill up and working and get an older blade i was going to take a tooth setter and play with putting a harder angle on a hand full of teeth to see if it would give the wood a more aggressive saw patten. i have always like the look of wood cut on a circular sawmill.

My timber trusses are gonna have heavy saw lines. I like the rough look too.

George, I forgot to mention. You can come back after you’ve made a cut and just graze over the surface with your saw blade and it really roughs it up. It actually looks good. Try that before you reset any teeth, you’ll be surprised.

Changing the blade after cutting the flitches smart move for smoother interior timbers. Timber frame rules.
