After watching all the installments of this epic event on multiple channels, here is an overview of what I've learned. 1) Rory put on an absolute clinic. 2) Paul showed amazing driving skill with his long wheelbase, "small" tire, low-ish ground clearance vehicle 3) Rudy needs an engine upgrade 4) Ian is all show... 5) Its tremendously entertaining watching a full race spec jeep going up a gnarly wheeling trail!

I agree with @javman03 for the most part, but I'm not a fan of a race rig or rock hopper going up a relatively untouched trail like that. They tore up too much shit, IMO. The high horsepower rigs belong at a place like KOH, not on a trail like this.

No doubt about how Rory was gonna do and the helping hand he, Sean & Mike always are to everyone. Rory’s the guy you want on anything like this. Paul will always give it his all even tho he had small tires for this & had an Impressive finish. Feel pretty bad for all the damage to Rudy’s rig. Loved what he said about being invited because they felt he could do it. Hello Ian... who on the other hand seemed to have an attitude from jump & even tho he didn’t really drive the obstacles & only spouted his sponsors. Left a bad taste but nothing lost actually as he’s always come off that way to me. The wild card really showed him up. lol Love the Peck Brothers, glad they were there. Overall I loved this 24 Hell n Back. Rory has set a new standard for all seasons to come!

This performance by Rory has affirmed my decision to deal with vehicle stuck situations like he does. I no longer "give it the beans" and hope for the best. I will say it again. Rory is the first Earthling to be a Jedi. He can mechanically feel and see, IN HIS MIND, what his eyes cannot. That is why TrailMater is geared exactly to stall out when it does...when the force needed is too much for the current line being taken. He then knows to back off and try a little different approach. Notice that sometimes he will stop and just heat up his tires to get the grip needed and then succeed? That is super human. He didn't win the Off-Road games because his technical approach wasn't a crowd pleaser. Merlin is a crowd pleaser and I appreciate that too.
