First off, Idk how you going to the mountains helps you get away from the heat. I left Seattle yesterday and went up to Snoqualmie and it was 5° F hotter there on the river. Second, Elk are so amazing. Biggest ones I've seen so far were at Mt. Rainier. Hands down the largest animals o have ever seen outside of a zoo. The elk I saw on the north east part of Renton, and even the one heard I saw at Yellowstone don't compare to those ones. Last thing I gotta say is now I have a beer to hunt down sometime this week and try.

Stopping by to leave you that comment. This is my first video of yours and it was EPIC. It’s hard to choose a point to begin. The ELK WOW definitely a rare moment to be a part of! Sorry the fishing didn’t turn out as hoped but you still cooked up a mean grilled Caesar which I will be gladly adding to my camping recipe list to try. I’m originally from a place where you catch blue crabs but I have never seen anyone catching crawdads with their hands. Now that I know it can be done I probably will risk the pinch to give it a shot! Seriously. It was all the little bits that made this video enjoyable. Oh and now I’m going to go watch the video where you collected the morels. Thanks again for sharing ✌🏼

I fish there mid August. The wind picks up in afternoon and I go huckleberry picking until evening bite when the breeze calms. I'm in a float tube so wind is a no, but I love fishing from the tube in the dark with just a head lamp. I've caught big browns, cutthroat and rainbows there. I catch the biggest browns on yellow hexagenia flies just after sunset.
