One thing about those trains is that when the lights above the doors are blinking DO NOT attempt to get onto the trains. It's an indication that the doors are about to close so it's better to wait for the next one.

actuarily there is buget hotel with similar price has privacy of queen size bed personal bathroom/toilet and big TV in Singapore.

Budget hotels in Singapore has hotels 81, Boss Hotel, V Hotel. Hotel 81 is one of the cheapest from S$ 40 to 70 depending on area, the one I stay before near the area you had stay is S$ 40 per day and cheaper if by per week,I stay there for over a month while my house was under renovation.Hitel81 have over 100+ of them all over the island, those near city center is a bit higher like S$70-80 ..

Gotta realize Singapore is the 4th richest country on earth by GDP per capita and the most expensive living costs on earth. It will definitely be more expensive than the neighboring developing countries, although they are also getting richer every year.

Singapore is still cheaper than europe or usa n its funny u guys came over n expect the price to b like other parts of south east asia when our salary is like europe or usa. I went NZ n Switzerland slept in a 400$ 3star hotel n had a great experience. Not bargaining for cheap stuffs
