Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to go travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY , we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. It was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

Stumbled on y’all’s channel with this Buccees video. Usually not a big fan of videos like these but y’all are very likable and I also thought your production was well done. I’ve worked in live sports for 25 years covering all the big events for the big networks. I’m a multi Emmy winner I’m my business…saying all that in hopes you actually read. Y’all need to check out the Houston Rodeo. It’s a 3 week event that is insane. Probably to late for this year but check it out for next March. I have worked here since 1994 and get a “gold badge” that I can give to anyone so they and a friend can get free entry into everything…it’s yours if y’all wanna come! Good stuff

Buc-ee's headquarters is in Lake Jackson, Texas. It has expanded to other states over the past few years. Mostly the southern United States. The founder is a Texas A&M graduate. There are 43 Buc-ee's stores in the state of Texas. Tell me, how many Buc-ee's stores are there in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Florida South Carolina and Tennessee? Less than 43. A couple weeks ago my family went to Texas, and somebody mentioned this gas station because we were looking for a Texas magnet and when we went inside it, we thought it was a size of a store. I also wasn’t expecting to see a lot of things you could buy for your house like household items and also clothing. It was very cool to see all of the meetings they had inside that you could buy for food. The closest one to my state he is the one they are going to build in Missouri. I am from Nebraska.

I'm a native Californian. my first stop at Buc-ee's was on a cross country trip with my son. I was heading to a six month assignment on the East coast and we kept seeing the signs for "the cleanest restrooms." We finally stopped and were totally amazed. When I took my wife to Texas years later, I made sure we stopped at Buc-ee's. She is now also a fan. The Babylon Bee did a really funny parody of Californians moving to Texas, the Buc-ee's segment is hysterical. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqSsnnmhgcl4aqM

Good video. "Kolache" sounds like "ko-la-chee" for future reference :) For us Czech Texans, a kolache is supposed to be circular with a dish type formation in the middle to hold fruit, cream cheese, poppyseed, etc. The sausage variant is called "klobasnek." The sausage variant is now referenced as a kolache because they originally has the same bread which should be a sweeter bread like a pastry.

MrPland, as a Mexican who has spent most of his life in Texas, breakfast tacos are definitely Texan ( more correctly, Tex-Mex, since it incorporates ingredients from both Mexico and USA). If I can recall from my Texas History class in High School, alot of Czech's immigrated to Central Texas during the early to mid 1800's. We probably call it Kolaches because it is easier to pronounce, think the correct word is Klobanisky (or something like that) but that can start a whole other argument. Some say it's a Texas thing, some say it started in Czech, others say that a true Kolache suppose to have a fruit filling and is more of a pastry! What ever you do, just don't call them pigs in a blanket around Texans. Besides tasting great, they make the perfect road trip food!

I love Buc-ee’s! It is a great place to stop. Relax! Shop! And, it is clean! I am not one to usually stop at places like this, but Buc-ee’s is different. I have gotten some unique items there and even just enjoy browsing!

Just stopped by the one in Crossville, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Chicken sandwich, brisket sandwich, tacos, fudge, all of it was DELICIOUS!! Thank you Kara and Nate for showing it to me!

So exciting to see you at my old regular gas station! I used to live in New Braunfels right up the road from Bucee's. The amount of ice coolers is due to the fact that it is right at the exit that you take to get to the lake, 2 rivers and schlitterbahn (a waterpark where you can bring your own cooler of food). During the summer those coolers empty fast!
