I was smiling the entire time through this. This was so precious and I’m glad you got to have a wonderful weekend with your dad. He’s a delight. I recently read Persuasion, my first Jane Austen book and I wonder why Anne hated bath so much. It looks lovely! Also, I’m glad you’re enjoying The Paper Palace. I picked it up after seeing it in one of your balancing the books videos a while back and thought it was an interesting story. It was only 3 stars for me but it was a page turner and I finished it in one seating.

When you go back there's a comedy walking tour of an evening called Bizarre Bath, which I guarantee will make you laugh.

I had no idea the Meeting House had become a bookshop! I visited it when I was there in 2014 when we, British Quakers, had our yearly meeting gathering (sort of like an agm but with more fun stuff). It’s a beautiful building. What to do with Quaker owned property is an ongoing discussion but I do like it being a bookshop. We should be there again next year I think so I look forward to another trip to wonderful Bath.
