24 hours in chicago: visvim, rick owens, kapital, margiela, and more

In today's video I spent 24 hours in Chicago, where I visited several menswear and streetwear stores. I got to see an assortment of high-end brands including Visvim, Rick Owens, Kapital, Maison Margiela, Our Legacy, Issey Miyake, and Wales Bonner. In other shops there was a wide selection of raw selvedge denim from Levi's, Iron Heart, and Studio D'Artisan. I also got to try out Nobu for the first time, as well as stroll through West Loop and Wicker Park.

ERD was a rich kid whos parents bankrolled him to start the brand, with the goal of making it expensive/unobtainable for the sake of being expensive/unobtainable. I think it just rode on the chrome hearts wave since its similar aesthetically, and aspirational brands tend to be big right now. I agree with you, however, bargain bin garbage imo. At least its mostly made in USA!
