For some non touristy places; Talad Huamum is a local night market. Get out to see a football game, I know you went to Buriram many years ago, but some Bangkok teams have a great atmosphere. The science museum and Rama 9 museum are a good day out in Prathum Thani area, 4 museums and cheap entrance, nothing Earth shattering but a nice day out for the family. There are many other things but I will leave you with those 3. Happy exploring

Paddy, get in touch with Joel Bruner if you can. He does bicycling racing here, and he's based in the North. He does 100+ mile rides. He'd be a great source for info on roads, prep, nutrition, etc. I'm an experienced motorcyclist, and I was shocked to see how woefully unprepared you were when you did the tour on "Dreamie". I nearly had a heart attack following that series! 🤣 Do your homework this time and save me all the stress. 🤣🤣🤣

Great vid! And, good luck with your cycle tour - As an ex elite cyclist and now someone who's living in Thailand and cycling most days; I'll offer two pieces of advice to consider. First, it is the hottest time of the year in Thailand so plan what time of day to cycle (and obviously keep super hydrated). Second, you would be aware that it's currently 'Burning Season' and the air quality in the North of Thailand can be particularly bad - doing too much physical activity on the polluted days can cause long term damage to your health,especially one's respiratory system. Take care and all the best, touring on a bicycle is awesome fun and will give you so many memorable experiences for sure🙏👍

Lov’n this video Patty. I did the Green Lung as well this year. Not over night though and it was plus 32 that day so it was exhausting but I did over 10 kilometres on that peddle bike which is pretty good for this old lady. Those narrow raised pathways were a bit scary…thought I was just going to go over the edge and into the swamp at times. Very sad that this unique place that is of such incredible benefit to the city of Bangkok is under considerable threat from growing urban development.

I have visited Bang Krachao and took the Ferry and then rented a bike, it was amazing. You can also get to this plce through the city less interesting way. Great video

This is awesome, I didn’t even know this place existed in Bangkok. It’s definitely on my bucket list. I ride a bike daily, here in Florida, and I will feel right at home. By the way, do they have electric bikes in Thailand? Are they easy to access? Because there’s nothing wrong with electric bikes I know a lot of people do cycling and they want to be traditionalist . But it’s just nice on the inclines so you know it’s more enjoyable experience for everyone. But either way, can’t wait for the videos. 🚴 ❤️ Oh, and by the way, I think the sit down and chat are good addition to the drone footage and the more polish parts of the video.

Hi Paddy, so excited for your cycling journey, north to south of Thailand. I watched your travel videos on dreamy and zelda religiously and it convinced me to do similar but on a bicycle. So excited to hear and aware you have already started and learning by doing but just soo interested to see how your perception changes on a bicycle as I am from the UK too and most mates went to South East-Asia for their traditional gap year and I did as well but the rare challenging but rewarding way by bicycle. I can't express the benefits and how your perception changes when on a bicycle. Enjoy and when the going gets tough, don't expect the rewards to come, it will come when you least expect it.. well that's what I found. Can't wait for the series. I am sure many others have cycled across Thailand and have offered advice but let me return favours and share experience of cycling in Thailand if I can.
