I would like to recommend the Bayad Ubud Bali Villa resort in Payangan, about 8kms (15 minutes drive) from Ubud central. The villas are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and very helpful. They provide a complimentary shuttle into Ubud central daily and back again 3 times daily.

I never try it but I will in my third trip next year :) Oh ya! You guys should checkout Wanagiri hills too. They have a lot of photo spots with an awesome view ;)

I lived in Bali some years ago when I was a kid, one of the most memorable places was Tegalallang. It used to very beautiful with a natural view but 2 months ago I back there and found out it is totally different now. It is very commercial and they ruin that paddy field just for tourism attraction
