GULU is land of the Acholi, Acholi are a Nilotic ethnic group of Luo people, thats why its clean and organised just like Kisumu. Kisumu was your best City, same to GULU, says a lot about the Luo people

Yeah and the luo people migrated from South Sudan’s Bhar El Ghazel region about 500 or so years ago

@@Amukalalu “The nominal forebears of the present-day Acholi group migrated South to Northern Uganda from the area now known as Bahr el Ghazal in South Sudan by about 1,000 AD. Starting in the late seventeenth century, a new sociopolitical order developed among the Luo of Northern Uganda, mainly characterized by the formation of chiefdoms headed by Rwodi (sg. Rwot, 'ruler'). The chiefs traditionally came from one clan, and each chiefdom had several villages made up of different patrilineal clans. By the mid-nineteenth century, about 60 small chiefdoms existed in eastern Acholiland.[7] During the second half of the nineteenth century, Arabic-speaking traders from the north started to call them Shooli, a term which was transformed into 'Acholi'.[8]” -Wiki History. They are not high land nilotes they’re like the luo of Kenya. Luo nilotes( the acholi, luo, Anyuak and alur) migrated from South Sudan.

@@Amukalalu “Luo people of Kenya and Tanzania form the majority of Nilotic peoples.[18] During the British colonial period, they were known as Nilotic Kavirondo.[19] The exact location of origin of the Nilotic peoples is controversial but most ethnolinguists and historians place their origins between Bahr-el-Ghazal and Eastern Equatoria in South Sudan. They practiced a mixed economy of cattle pastoralism, fishing and seed cultivation.[8] Some of the earliest archaeological findings on record, which describe a similar culture to this from the same region, are found at Kadero, 48 kilometres (30 miles) north of Khartoum in Sudan, and date to 3000 BC. Kadero contains the remains of a cattle pastoralist culture as well as a cemetery with skeletal remains featuring Sub-Saharan African phenotypes.” -Wiki

@@Amukalalu the highland nilotes are people like the Kelajin and the Maasai those people are the ones that migrated from Ethiopia but the river lake nilotes like the acholi and luo trace their roots to Sudanic origin; that’s why we still speak the same languages and look the same.
