Fun video, thank you. For church, which I think I’ll attend on Christmas Eve this year, and our family Christmas party the next day, I’ll wear some of my silk dresses, as always. It’s just a matter of which to choose for which occasion and how to style them. There’s nothing more comfy than a silk dress, in my opinion, and they look good for every special occasion. The tricky thing for me is wearing clothes light and breathable enough for the very-overheated interiors we have everywhere here in California. As much as I’d love to wear velvet, Fair Isle wool sweaters, etc., I know they won’t work for me indoors, but a light-weight silk dress will, perfectly. Then, I add a long, all-wool or cashmere coat, and usually tall leather or suede boots, for getting there and back in warmth. I wear my wool/cashmere, etc. clothes for those outdoor holiday occasions like caroling, but I don’t have any of those planned this year. If I did, I would wear a pair of my beloved cashmere leggings from Poetry, a cashmere sweater over a turtleneck with a warm wool jacket or coat (perhaps my L.L.Bean insulated, navy wool peacoat). With warm, comfy boots, of course. Unless up in the mountains, it mostly doesn’t go below freezing at night here in California, and my home is at sea level (San Francisco Bay Area). I use the hanger straps in tops to wrap around my shoulder bra straps to prevent a wide neck top slipping off my shoulders.

I know that the coats look better open, for styling purposes. That said we wear them usually for heating purposes so I never wear them open, as I would freeze. We need to know how to make them and ourselves look good while they are all the way closed and bundled up😅

Lovely. Just me and my dog here at Christmas but I was quite excited about the Uniqlo gloves with a free thumb! Actually Uniqlo had some great stuff. Loved the jewellery but don’t have a partner to help put it on and don’t fancy grabbing a passer by every time I want to wear it!

Hi Melissa, thanks for the video. It’s just me and hubby Christmas Day this year so sports leggings and a sweatshirt for me, bliss😁. Been looking for some PJ’s that I like that are long enough for me in the arms and legs for years, came so close this year with some Gap ones, ladies top and men’s bottoms but they were too small and bigger sizes out of stock.
