I worked offshore for 8 years pretty much all maritime crew and galley staff were Filipino. They keep the maritime world running and are some of the hardest working people I have been lucky enough to work next to. I wish the industry would treat them the way they deserve, instead of a cheap captive labour force. We used to do 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. I could go home between multiple shifts working with the same Filipinos that may have been onboard for up to a year without a break. Offshore it's 12 hours a day 7 days a week no days off.

@MariaMartinez-researcher6 ай бұрын
Only one of the restaurants charged for the food, and it was caviar (with vodka), lobster, foie gras, lamb, truffles, berries - the works. Also, the money was for more than a week in that nice room, with impeccable room service, plenty of booze and snacks, fresh fruit and ice everyday, a multi-service touch screen. Also, entertainment, including a scientific conference, trivia games, a cosmetics demonstration - all of that scheduled for one single day. The next video is about excursions. All of that in the vicinity of Antarctica, in a boat with as many crew as passengers. Yes, it is expensive, but it is worthwhile.
@gray86406 ай бұрын
@@DrZedd169 Well it's the ONLY restaurant that charges at all and I'm guessing there aren't many $40,000 rooms, if I'd have to guess, usual cruises with the same quality can cost anywhere between $2,500 to $8,000 on a budget. Now antarctica isn't exactly the trendiest place to be, with how little interest in comparison to other cruisers in hotter and more popular places, you'd have to probably go out with $10,000+ minimum. This isn't the same btw, the cruise in the video after a google search is one that houses 200+ passangers and costs a shit ton of money, the cheapest rooms are $15,000. (I'm not sure I found the right one but I think I did.)

The people who make it to Antarctica are exclusive bunch, you either got to have excess money or a scientist. Normal cruise ship can't go through the drake passage as the sea can be very rough, and the danger of hitting iceberg is real so they have smaller ship (icebreaker?). Glad to see Sonny got to live it up and enjoy a nice honeymoon with his wife. But maybe help people who are in need with their extra money instead of wasting it on such a short trip (kids in mountainous region, poor people in Vietnam). This is ironic. I’m going on my first cruise in the last 15 years ( only second ever) for my birthday in August. I’ve been watching all kinds of videos on it and now my favorite channel has one

The bedroom suite is an amazing size . The trips sightseeing add a lot to the bill. It is a unique experience and the penguins and seals have to get their cut.

positive criticism: i noticed the music playing in videos are becoming more and more hectic. i used to love it before (months ago), now it sounds rushed, forced, and hectic. it disturbs the flow of the video. music on your videos used to be an extension of the content now it sounds so forced to the point where i have to turn it all the way down to get through it :( its not too bad in this one, but on some other videos its so awful. i truly care that's the only reason im sharing this with you :) i follow both channels.

British bacon isn't ham, they looked like medallions of bacon. What you get in America and call bacon is just what we call streaky bacon. That is usually only for putting over the turkey at Christmas and not eating as a stand alone item.

British bacon comes from pork loin & American bacon comes from pork belly. Ham comes from the leg. So yeah, all the same animal just different areas and fattiness
