The aerial footage today is amazing, and Tom's one handed catch of the returning drone was really cool! :) It's a bit sad to think your journey is nearing its end. I'm going to miss the daily vlogs but appreciate how much time and work they are for you. Thank you for all the great images, commentary and hilarious antics along the way!

The price tag of that golden toilet was 3,75 million nok when it was new in 2014 😅 Also, that bird that was out for your drone is called Tjeld in Norwegian, and they are normally not that aggressive 🙈

Consider going to treriksgrensa from kilpisjarvi, strait after the Norwegian - Finish border. Treriksgrensa is the meeting point of the Norwegian, Finish and Swedish border and it is a cool hike! Also, I like the down-to-earth and genuine tone of the videos. Keep up the good work!

A tip for Finland: On the road Muonio - Kittilä - Rovaniemi - Kemi there is much more to see than on quite boring road Muonio - Tornio - Kemi which follows the Tornionjoki river. Also more places for "wild" camping. Cheers, Harri from Finland.

Catwalk sass 😂 ... I come from Norway and live in the south and never been to lofoten islands. Its a shame, since I also love landscape photography. But your vidoes inspires me to just take my car and drive to the north. BUT, the gass prices here in Norway are crazy now and how do you guys cope with that? I guess that van isent the most fuel economic car out there either!? Cheers
@LostInTransit2 жыл бұрын
It is very expensive, I think 40% of our whole budget was fuel! We manage because we don’t have rent or bills so can afford to spend a bit more on diesel. Well worth it though, I would recommend the trip so much!

VIDEO FROM THE TRIP: Senja, an island in Norway, is located within the Arctic Circle. On this magical island, there is the Segla mountain, the most beautiful mountain in Norway. A steep trail leads up the southern side of the mountain to the peak, which rises 639 meters above the ocean. At the top, there are breathtaking views of Mefjord and the surrounding mountains. The sheer western cliff provides an adrenaline rush for anyone who dares to look over the edge. Watching the midnight sun from Segla is an unforgettable experience. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2jJm56ZqrCIj68

Will follow some more. Are they all filmed on a Go-Pro? What a risk sending the drone over the cliff. My brother flew his DJI out over the water and it decided to land! What video editing software are you using! I just download to Sony PlayMemories and joined all the clips and maybe delete the odd boob cam or crutch cam… when one of us forgets to hit the stop record..
@LostInTransit2 жыл бұрын
Hey bill, We have actually lost two drones while making the vlogs, so there is some risk. One time was strong winds and the other was racing around and crashing into a wall. We do use a GoPro but mostly for when we are getting into water. We are mostly using a canon m50 these days though and I use Final Cut Pro for editing. Hope that all helps

If its not too "nosy" how do you guys afford van life? A friend of mine started his vanlife 1 year ago, he has spent around 40k USD.. Ofc some unexpected costs to the van and extra thing to see stuff.. I mean tourist stuff costs money hehe. He can do it cause he gets some from doing stuff on fiverr and actually transport things for others on his hanger. But yhe. How do you guys make it? KZbin / sponsorships only or how is it. Me and my GF wants to do vanlife for 1-2 years now. ( Maybe more who knows) But we got only 30k saved up. We do have the Van, but yhe Thanks for any answer even though if you dont want to answer it directly
@LostInTransit2 жыл бұрын
I think it’s actually cheaper than living in a house. We don’t pay rent or bills. Obviously it can be very expensive if you travel quickly and do lots of touristy things (or go to Norway). Our only income at the moment is from KZbin, that could be from the ads you see at the start of the videos (although this isn’t that much) and also sponsored videos, we also have buy me a coffee where people can send us a coffee if they like which has been really helpful. While we were in Ireland Isabel was working online from the van as well which is another option. You can really make it as expensive or cheap as you like
