Really enjoying these anesthesia vlogs tbh. They show some great insights. At least for those not in the field but that want to learn about it👌

Remember those long on calls so vividly,even after 10 yrs out ,great sense of achievement though,driving home after those on call shifts

It must be a sense of euphoria from knowing you're not on call anymore and can sleep.

I too remember those many long nights on call, not too fondly! I Practiced 33 years and the heavy call workload was a main reason for retirement!

I'm so sorry if you've already answered this and I missed it, but do you think AA's will replace CRNA's? I've been watching for a year and I love this channel!

Thank you. No, Anesthesia Assistants are only legal in 14 states and 3 states provisionally. Even within the states they are allowed to practice they can only function with medical direction under a physician anesthesiologist in a practice that is the most expensive and least efficient model. With Covid it's been an accelerant for healthcare facilities to identify the least expensive and most efficient way of delivering high quality anesthesia, aka CRNAs.

Does someone check in on Scout while you're at the hospital on a 24?
@BoltCRNA3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have a dog sitter for the longer days I'm at the hospital.

I bet Scout is not a fan of these 24 hours shifts either. How does he cope?
@BoltCRNA3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he hates them. Another reason I'm switching to 1099/per diem and no longer doing call. He copes by knocking over the trash and chewing it up.
