Who's gonna tell him that you can get a shiny in RBY because it's based on the DVs (ancient IVs) of the Pokemon. Trade it to GSC or Pokemon Bank and it'll be shiny. Although it's only possible with soft reset encounters like ingame trades, snorlax and the legends, and Game Corner mons You'll need rare candies but this is the most well known glitchy Pokemon game only rivaled by SV so
