I've thought of a cool idea for a future race: The Warden Boss Fight! It's a ancient city/sculk themed set of courses but there is an extra marble. A Warden marble that is twice the size of the other marbles joins in. The goal for the other marbles is to beat the warden. The warden will be in each round regardless of it makes it to the end. If the Warden gets into the top three by the end, the Warden wins. If it doesn't, the other marbles win

Maybe you could do a nighttime theme with hazardous mobs or one in the end dimension where they bounce across the endstone platforms and shulkers actually make them levitate BTW my marble won
