Chris, I just wanted to say Thank You for all the hard work you’re putting into your videos. I’m happy to say that your videos (along with Good Mythical Morning) are part of my every morning routine. I’m just getting started with breeding BPs, so far I only have a handful of basic morphs that I’ve gotten from people rehoming on Craigslist/Facebook. But, you’ve already taught me sooo much and I feel super prepared to tackle this project. So thank you for arming us with great knowledge! Please keep it up :)

My snake I just bought wasn't that expensive. But to me, it was a huge investment the Pinstripe puzzle. And Chris, you would definitely like it. I'm going to do a spotlight on him tomorrow night and out of all of them. I definitely would choose the monsoon. That is my top dream single Gene morph

I hope Taylor Nicole Dean hasn't killed that chimera ball python yet. I mean I hope she never does, though she seems to hoard and collect animals and with as many animals that she has/had, she has also neglected and killed some. She also had her heroin addiction which from my experience I know sometimes you could just let everything fall apart in your life, so I hope she's continuing to stay clean and I hope nothing has happened to that beautiful ball.

If the chimera was male on one side and female on the other, could it breed itself? (first thing that came to my mind.)
@douglasgriffiths35343 жыл бұрын
No. It dosen't work like that. Either one gender would function, but more than likely neither one would. The snake's hormones would be in a constant state of confusion, so probably neither would, and the animal would just be something to marvel at. (Jan Griffiths).

Have a feeding question you may have address before . My garters seem to be looking for food three days after i feed them so i have been increasing the ammount of food giving three pinkys now . Same with my ball python she seems to want food quicker than the five days ive been feeding . Last time i gave her two rat pups . I got my last three snakes in and put her in the finished rack with them and didnt expect her to eat because i just moved her . I tried and just got the rat below the cover and she came ripping out and hammered it . Startlingi me i didnt even see her. Should i feed more or should i shorten from five to four days between feeding or both . Should you give as much as they seem to want? i doent remember having this in the passed with my king snakes they seemed to eat every 7-10 days .
@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures4 жыл бұрын
I would feed according to body condition. You can feed every day or two for a short time until they look a bit plump, then I'd cut back. For my really fat snakes I'll feed once a month LOL

Wow I got a good deal. I got a ivory paradox ball python male. He's a stunner and only was 150€ I think I got really lucky
@douglasgriffiths35343 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, paradox isn't genetic. It crops up from time to time. I have a champagne pastel who's paradox and has a ringer. One of her male babies has a small dark spot, and a small ringer. The dad is a calico. Out of all 27 babies she's had, he is the only one that turned out like that. They're stunning though. (Jan Griffiths).

@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures hey so out of curiosity does shipping depend on the snakes? Or state I'm from California
@morrisnakes4 жыл бұрын
@@buffalophil3630 The actually shipping costs go by 3 things: how far, weight, size of the box. Shipping from CA to CA would be almost half the price of CO to CA. Unless you are buying a lot of snakes or a really heavy snake, weight and box size don't change the price drastically, just a few bucks. Hope that helps! I want a bamboo from @Chris Hardwick too! Such a cool morph.

Nerd just sold a sweet paradox i really wanted for like 2k
@douglasgriffiths35343 жыл бұрын
The trouble with paradox is that it's not genetic. I have a paradox champ pastel female with a ringer. She's been bred with a male (not a champ, also with ringer), back in 2018, and not one of those babies had ringers or paradox. The year before, she was bred to a calico male, and I did get one baby (male) with a small ringer, and a small spot of dark color on his head. I wish it was genetic like it is in Kenyan sand boas. (Jan Griffiths).

Crazy no ball python is worth that much in my eyes,all the same snake but with a different paint job lol.greed and money is messing the market up,all will be inbred too
@morrisnakes4 жыл бұрын
We wouldn't have much of a ball python market if there weren't much money involved. Look at how the corn snake market and boa constrictor market have gone because the prices dropped too much. Breeding is hard work and a big investment to do it right. Those big $$ ones will come down quickly, it's just that way because they are new morphs. Protip: inbreeding is 100% okay as long as there isn't negative recessive genes! That's the only reason it becomes a problem for something captive. In the wild inbreeding is bad if it's too much because the less variation there is between animals, the more chance that ALL of them will get wiped out if the environment changes in some way; if a handful have a gene that helps them in some way with the change, they will survive.
@joshuahull99824 жыл бұрын
Anybody who would spend that kinda money on a snake has more money than sense. A fancy morph doesn't behave any different and doesn't live any longer and doesn't shit gold, diamonds or platinum. In fact its lifespan is probably shorter because they won't tell you that pretty much all morphs are inbred to some degree. All of these breeders sell snakes back and forth to each other so you know some inbreeding is definite. I wasted money on an albino ball python only for it to develop cancer and die young. It was beautiful but what good is beauty without health and longevity. I would rather have a normal ball python as long as its healthy. My uncle has a normal ball python he bought as a baby in 1980. She just reached her 40th birthday and still eats live rats. You won't see ANY morphs live that long. I don't care what this guy says. Looks are the ONLY thing these morphs have. Health and longevity, not so much but to each their own. You can't tell gullible people what to spend their money on. I guess I'm different because I'm only interested in healthy snakes. I've had a 27 year old corn snake and an eastern garter snake live to 14.
@jimmieparker80934 жыл бұрын
Only an idiot would pay 5 grand let alone 30 for a damn snake that sit on a cage...lol lol...talk about over compensating for somthing...lol..my normal ball looks way more natural and gorgeous than these and i only paid 100 bucks....lol
