Minor Nitpicks: Don't connect both positive and negative on the Donor at the same time, this prevents accidental shorting of leads. Do both positives FIRST, Then the negatives. On Both vehicles, ensure engine and accessories are shut off and vehicles are not touching each other. On the Dead vehicle, Connect the Positive FIRST!, that way if you accidentally touch the chassis while connecting, you wont short the donor out. On the Dead vehicle, When connecting the negative AFTER the positive is already connected, Connect the Negative, and If possible, connect the negative to the chassis or engine block rather than the terminal, that way if there is a spark, its not near your batteries which could (and has) cause an explosion (due to gas venting from the batteries). Start Donor vehicle and allow to run for a good few minutes, this allows the donor vehicle to replenish its own battery from starting, and to put some charge into the dead battery, which will make the jump start much easier on the dead vehicle, Now you can attempt to start the dead vehicle. If the dead engine does not start within 3-5 seconds, Abort and wait another few minutes (avoids overheating leads or draining donor battery). Once the dead vehicle starts, allow its engine to stabilise and then remove jumper cables in reverse order. The order therefore should be: All Accessories and engines off (Remove keys) --> Red Jumper on Dead Positive --> Red Jumper to Donor Positive --> Black jumper to Donor Negative --> Black Jumper to Dead Chassis / Engine where possible, otherwise very carefully to dead Negative post --> Start Donor and run for few minutes --> start dead vehicle and allow to stablise --> remove Negative cable, then remove positive cable. That's the safest and most reliable way to jump any vehicle.

Some good advice there but for some reason on my truck it’s set up a little different negative from one batt goes to the truck and the positive from the other batt goes to the truck so it’s drawing from both batteries

I have a 24v booster pack (noco gb251 to be exact). I assume its the same concept cuz my freightliner cascadia has 2 12v batteries hooked up? Am I right or not? Lol.

Connect + of recipient vehicle first to + on donor, then same way with -- , recipient then donor. This minimizes chance of shorting jumper leads, and as always do not touch clamps on any other part of either vehicle. Otherwise good video.

This is not the right way to connect the batteries, you should always put the positive lead on first (both ends, good battery 1st then dead battery), then put the negative lead on the good battery followed by the other end on a non-painted part of the chassis or engine. This is the correct procedure, taking the leads of in reverse order.

In my experience we have always had to unhook the bridge, charge each battery separately and then hook it back up. Using 12v to 24v. It’s been a while since you commented but I thought I’d throw this out there.
