What an amazing video, the information, the way you present it, the testing, the music. You definitely deserved my like :). Keep on making these great videos!

Very informative. My Tyro109 has noticeable MTO on exactly 40% of throttle as in your video. Running BLHeliM 16.9 24k. Will try to increase to 48k. Thanks

Thank you. Yeah, try configuring BLHeli_M to 48Khz and see if it helps.

Yes, go to 48kHz, drop startup power, move timing to MedHigh... also, add some PD balance, and it tends to be cleaner overall. On BF4.2, I find that drivetrain really likes the 1.2 PD Balance range, and because I treat my quads terribly (and fly at 7kft), 1.4 P&D Gains with DMin Disabled still works quite well.
@tehllama423 жыл бұрын
I feel less silly for running 48kHz on everything. Practically, a click or two of PD balance (more D gain) is worth it, and there is still that same deadtime dependence on how much is needed (really low deadtime one click, 30 or more go with two clicks. Also, thrust_linear cleans up a lot of lower throttle authority issues. Another thing is that startup_power affects how big a difference that makes, and I run everything on lower startup/rampup power.

Hello, what graphic configuration do I need in the blackbook explorer program to see it like you? 12:50

Yes, you need to download blackbox explorer in order to view the logs

Thanks for all the info and testing, Hard to find good info. Much appreciated. Which is better in your opinion flight wise Blheli_m 16.9 24khz or JESC 24khz

I have not noticed any difference between the two. BLHeli_M is free so that it a plus.

Great video! I flashed on my nazgul 5 hd JazzMac 16.73. I was thinking about to flash blheli_m and try 48 hz. But it is already flying better than before my replacement. :) One question: Bidirectional dshot was already enabled on the nazgul5 hd. The banggood page says "Target: G-H-30 BLS 16.7". I bought the same Stack because my old one was faulty. I just wonder how iFlight brought bidirectional dshot to work with 16.7. It was not working out of the box with my new stack until i flashed 16.73. Do you know how they did it?
@andreas-ohman3 жыл бұрын
Perhaps they had the 16.71 beta version on it from the factory? (that is basically a Jazzmac version for 24khz PWM only but with bidirectional dshot). Did it say 16.71 before you flashed it? If it said 16.7 then it did not run rpm-filters. This can also be a issue with BF 4.1.x and the new 10.7 configurator. I had a AIO board that came with Beteflight 4.1.x and BLHeli-S 16.7 and was clearly not capable of running RPM filters but the Betaflight configurator showed RPM filters enabled even if they where actually not. I updated to Betaflight 4.2.5 and then the configurator started showing the correct configuration (that RPM filters where in fact not enabled).

@@andreas-ohman I dont know which firmware my original esc had. The nazgul 5 hd came with BF 4.2.0. I just copied in my last config dump after I swapped the whole stack. Bidirectional dshot was enabled and RPM filters too. In blheli configurator 10.7.0 it showed 16.7 before I flashed my new ESC. Maybe they sell just the stack with 16.7 and for the nazgul5 they flash other firmwares. But they also say on banggood 16.7. strange

Are your spectral plots controlling for length of flight? (Amplitude spec are just summing and will be higher with more data, ie longer flight
@andreas-ohman3 жыл бұрын
Yes, but not exactly. I tried to keep the flight to the same length within about 5% while also trying to do the same flips, rolls and throttle punches etc. The comparison should be fairly accurate at least but not perfect since it is more or less impossible to replicate the same flight over and over.

maybe the fc touch the carbon fiber frame or something. Definitely not caused by 48Khz. I've been flying at 48khz and 24Khz with no issues
@andreas-ohman3 жыл бұрын
Some quads and/or FCs just seem to like either 24 or 48 better for some reason as it seems. and then there are quads that fly just as well on both. The Tyro99 is clearly not the best quality quad mechanically but I think I have been able to get it to fly quite nicely.

@@andreas-ohman Great info. Thanks! What are your thoughts on Nazgul?
@andreas-ohman3 жыл бұрын
@@neilfpv The Nazgul is great. I got mine about 1 year ago for an insanely good price and I have been flying it a lot since then without any issues. The Nazgul V2 is out now and they even have a Digital version of it and I hear the V2 is just as good if not better than the V1.
