My brother flipped out on me when I was nine and chucked a pen hard across the table at me and it hit my eye. He also used to punch me hard if I didn't do what he said. It's far more common and likely that the kid, growing up in a trailer with an abusive set of parents, hurt her, not the opposite. The end result says it all: he kept lying and covering up while she is the one who is dead.

Kids make mistakes! And this was a bad mistake, but it isn't his fault because their day was a mess up and he didn't plan for any of that to happen.. I don't buy his confession. I'm a nurse and there's no way that she fell back with enough force for a metal pole to sever her brain stem. He buried her in a shallow grave and she was never found? No one noticed that he behaved differently? No one saw anything? This video leaves out a huge amount of information on this case. 1. He was interrogated for 20 hours. If I was grilled for that long, I'd confess to anything. 2. Their father was abusive and they had already been in foster care. 3. The father claimed that he gave them $40 to go to the grocery store. That amount of money in the eighties for a couple of kids to go to the store? No.

David Lambert confessed to accidentally killing Martha Jean Lambert several times & burying his entire sister in several different places so since he probably made it up , no body was found & they were both minors at the time prosecuting him is useless or impossible
@alexa24646 жыл бұрын
I don't think I belive him. I think he's lying. It doesn't make much sense. I mean, all that for a burned turkey? Now that's a stupid excuse. But then again, perhaps it's not really an excuse and it really did happen, because why would someone make up a story like that, when you could've made something more believable? Or maybe he really did kill her not accidently and maybe he didn't bury the body where he said he did, because he knew that as soon as they saw the body, they'd see that it wasn't really an accident. Because if it was an accident, and even if he was scared of his parents reactions, she at least deserved a proper funeral, even if only for her parents piece of mind. But then again, we don't really know the parents either, maybe they were all in on the lie and they needed a cover up to cover the real story. But then, I can't really make assumptions, can i? I'm just saying, i think he knows more than he's letting on and while he may not have killed, i think he's not telling the whole story. But then maybe this is all only in my mind, i tend to overthink things...

Authorities in northeast Florida say they've closed the 24-year-old case of a missing seventh-grader, but the girl's mother says she doesn't believe it. Martha Jean Lambert vanished near her St. Augustine home on Nov. 27, 1985. Her mother, Margaret Pichon, says she remains convinced that the 12-year-old girl was kidnapped. However, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said Friday that Pichon's son David Lambert has confessed to accidentally killing his sister in an argument. Sgt. Chuck Mulligan said Lambert told police that he panicked and buried the girl in a shallow grave. Lambert was 15 at the time. The State Attorney's Office decided not charge Lambert with manslaughter after prosecutors considered his age at the time, the statute of limitations manslaughter charges had in 1985 and "other mitigating circumstances," Mulligan said. Investigators had considered Lambert a suspect, but they had no evidence nor a confession until sheriff's detectives Sean Tice and Howard Cole III reopened the case in June. Lambert, now 38, had previously told investigators that he last saw his sister as she walked off to play. When Tice and Cole interviewed him again last summer, Lambert told them he and Martha Jean were arguing near the old Florida Memorial College site over $20 he refused to give her, the detectives said. The girl punched him in the face, and Lambert said he shoved her backward. Her head landed on a piece of metal sticking out of the ground, he told the detectives. "D. Lambert stated when he lifted Martha up there was a large hole in the back of her head and blood was pouring out," Tice wrote in the offense report. "D. Lambert stated he initially called out for help, hoping that someone would be walking by and hear his cries." Lambert told the detectives that he dug a hole 3 feet deep and laid Martha Jean in it. "He was terrified," Tice told The St. Augustine Record. "He was terrified of his Mama. Still is." Pichon says the sheriff's office just wants the case closed. Authorities still haven't found her daughter's remains, though crews searched the site Lambert indicated in his recent interviews. Demolition at the site over the past 24 years "is believed to have removed or scattered any remains that may have existed," sheriff's officials said. Pichon told The Florida Times-Union that Lambert "makes up tales" to get attention. Mulligan said investigators believe Lambert is telling the truth. "We certainly understand the complexity and the difficulties these situations bring on a family," Mulligan said. "These are his words." Martha Jean's disappearance was the county's longest-running missing person investigation.

@bilfbilfbilf6 жыл бұрын
Reece Grucza That makes absolute sence. All the extra information wasn't necessary. All he had to say was that the girl and her brother went out. He pushed her. She hit a steel thing, and died. He burried her.
@fnc_6 жыл бұрын

True, there are kids in prison who are there for life! Some who are even innocent and the cops will trick them into confessing just to close the case, some even with intellectual challenges or even without lawyers being there so that they get a confession. I mean you just never know! You could be innocent and still end up paying!

If he killed her, he can't be charged due to corpus delicti. So what happened to his sister and where is she?
@stephanietaft-bekman70686 жыл бұрын
Melvin Prado he kowns what happened, but fear and guilt has been the weapon of choice of when it came to telliing what happened; but he did not do it. He knows, but was "trained" not to say anything. He wants to though, he reached out, but momma was there to push him back in again. 😰😒😕
@melvinprado34786 жыл бұрын
Stephanie Taft-Bekman do you think his mother knows something on the disappearance. If there's none, then why stop him on telling the law what he knows.
@Tocsin-Bang6 жыл бұрын
Corpus delicti has nothing to do with the physical body of the victim, it simply means "the body of evidence".
@LDScott-dm8fu6 жыл бұрын
Perhaps you are thinking of habeas corpus
@Tocsin-Bang6 жыл бұрын
Habeus corpus is Medieval Latin meaning literally "that you have the body") is a recourse in law through which a person can report an unlawful detention or imprisonment to a court and request that the court order the custodian of the person, usually a prison official, to bring the prisoner to court. Corpus delicti literally means "body of the crime" in Latin. it refers not to a corpse but to the body of essential facts that, taken together, prove that a crime has been committed. The acid bath murderer, John George Haigh, tried to use this as a defence, he failed he mistakenly believed that, if the bodies could not be found, a murder conviction would not be possible. Despite the absence of his victims' bodies, there was sufficient scientific evidence for him to be convicted for the murders and subsequently executed. He had murdered six people and disposed of their bodies by dissolving them in sulfuric acid. - The Trial of John George Haigh: (The acid bath murder). Volume 78 of Notable British trials, W. Hodge. 1953. These definitions apply in the UK, however in the US, there is a general rule that a death cannot be assumed in law unless a body be produced.
