Those final moments were devastating to watch. You can see Aaron's heart breaking for Jackson as his world came crashing down around him. Both Danny and Marc were incredible.

This is, I think, the 3rd time I've watched this storyline and I love how I'm noticing more things that slipped by me before, like Aaron's little "I know" mime at 1:25 - beautiful.

The actors are making this typical soap story line really entertaining and off the chart acting for a soap. The intensity is the best most real and Aaron is perfect somehow you can see in his face what he is thinking and feeling - never over the top and seldom off base. This is a real relationship without a lot of infatuation, or romance Aaron is a guy acting like a normal guy would act in any relationship. I wish they had more of Adam in these scenes -Keep up the great show

@sanyrub You nailed it. I've been thinking it for so long now. I think I may have even mentioned it but its true. How are they not winning every award out there. First Danny with his absolute heartbreaking performances from the courtroom to now. And now Marc who is giving brilliant scenes. And as for the show itself, the filming of the night of the crash. It was like watching a first rate movie when it was all silent and all you could hear and see was Aaron running to Jacksons van. Tears

Am I the only one who isn't surprised at all? After weeks of paralysis after a severe accident with neck injuries anything other than "it's looking highly likely that he'll remain completely paralysed from his shoulders down" would have been a huge surprise. Well at least he only said "highly likely". It could have been worse by saying "I'm completely sure..." but maybe they are saving this for tomorrow, which I don't hope. So actually it's not bad news right now.

I know the crash hit us like a ton of bricks but this epi jsut epitomised the real talent this show has. Hazel and the Dr. was flippin amazing and I agree How our Aaron has grown!. They are men now.. not young men or boys. What courage and strength!

Just when I think the acting by Danny/ Marc/ Pauline can't get any better, it goes and gets better still! Brilliantly played by all. Poor Jackson. I am sure he must get some feeling back, at least his arms and upper body. As good as Marc's acting skills are, only being able to move his head is going to get a bit tedious for the viewers after a while. It would be a shame to "limit" the talents of such a fine young actor (and I hope and pray it is not the "end" for Jackson on Emmerdale).

This was really sad. Great acting. The actress who plays Hazel is amazing. I think there were enough "spoilers" let out recently that this is pretty much as expected. It's horrible but it's drama and it's television. And this happens to real people every day. It's even more depressing that now we're going to have three more months of Aaron's guilt, self loathing, anger, kicking off, punching walls etc. Jackson will be gone in a few months, but sometimes characters return.

Again, I will say - that Jackson is a life's lesson for Aaron. We have grown to love him, as Aaron has - but, in reality, Aaron is the "star" of this storyline. Aaron and his growth. Aaron was never IN LOVE with Jackson, but rather loved him. BIG difference. And Aaron has now proven his loyalties and matured into a caring individual. He has in fact, gone full circle, and is now "prepped" for an adult Gay relationship. I believe it was the writer's intentions all along.

@superxx57

@AlanRM1000 Honestly, I don't think the writers knew how popular Jackson would become when he entered the show. It's very endearing (and rare) to see gay guy refrain from playing the victim, no matter how many times he's been victimized (Aaron, Jerry, etc.). For me, it was never about Aaron's "troubles", or whether we got to see Aarson kissing or in bed together. Jackson and his story alone is an inspiration to all. Regardless of the outcome, he is and will always be the true hero of Emmerdale.

@luckyduck152 Give the storyline some time. Life presents us with difficult challenges, so the show would not be portraying real life if everything was 'hunky dory' from day one. People go through things, and if they survive the challenges, they come out stronger, better, and more appreciate of what they have on the other side. I am glad Jackson has Aaron (in addition to his parents) to help him go through this trying experience.
@superxx57

@AlanRM1000 Exactly. Jackson's just a selfless, down-to-earth, normal type of guy; something we don't see often on these shows. I just hope the writers consider this as they think of what to do with Jackson next.

@tonsingemabaise thanks, more info than I got from Husband,, (he was quite annoyed me asking during CSI). Emmerdale has good writers (Aaron's coming out). A realistic Train crash, great casting-I Love Hazel, Jackson, Aaron, etc. I just don't know why they couldn't spend an hour with a Doc, to get this story consistent. One minute it's paralyzed from the neck down-the next it's from the shoulders down. They would have completely different results. And since Jackson's injury is low, there's hope.

In the words of Brian Kinney (or similar ones at least), "Doctors don't know shit. They tell you you're never going to walk again or piss again or draw again so that when you do they can charge you whatever the hell they want." God, they shouldn't be saying Jackson will NEVER walk or move his arms again. They should be saying the ODDS aren't in your favor or something like that. Fantastic acting once again!

This was tough to get through. Now that I've recovered some, let me put it this way: I wish instead of this dire projection, we had the truth, which in both soap land & reality is a matter of probabilities. This soon after surgery anything without a probability P attached to it is simplistic. P(upper body recovery) > P(full body recovery) > 0. The probabilities are low, but not zero. No recovery is expected, but partial recovery is more probable than total, & even total is remotely possible.

Can anyone please explain to me why does Emmerdale not win all the fucking awards they give in that country of yours??!!! I just can´t understand, Eastenders can´t compare to this whole storyline since last year. As always they all were out of this world but what affected me the most in this epi was hazel receiving the news. That´s when I cried and that´s an actress..OMFG so realistic. I love Hazel. but I think she pressured the Doc into information he wasn't comfortable saying, especially since the tests weren't all completed. And then she felt and said the worst case scenario ( like saying Neck down, when the Doc said Shoulders down). I hope, after further testing, it's more positive, and even if it's the same results, they should emphasize that each case is different, and use words like "possible" and make them understand Hope and make Hazel understand it's not all bad.

@thorium222 Yes, Reeve couldn't move is neck, but Jackson can. Reeve's injury must have been very high, since he was so disabled, but a lower injury (like Jacksons must be), there should be pretty decent hope for some recovery. And even Reeve, before he died, was able to move a finger.His Wife said they still had sex, apparently the penis can respond to stimulation, even when numb. Spoiler, maybe? It's been in the news, online, etc. that Marc's contract has been extended until Spring.

@jodezak continued: Jackson needs someone with strong continence and strength and someone who wants to be there caue HE can't live without him and someone who is willing through hard times and good .. to stick by him no matter what. Jackson * iE the writers* have done this in hopes to get Aaron to come out ofhis comfort zone and realize he does love him. It wont happen right away.. but at Holidays I am hoping for a reunion :)

There is Hope for recovery!-the Doctor said "likely" paralyzed from SHOULDERS down-Hazel may have mixed it up to NECK down. Aaron said Jackson said he feels "sensation"? From my Doc Hubby-the lower the spinal injury, the better the chance for some real recovery.Jackson's Doc said each case is different. But can 18 year old Aaron cope with his first boyfriend paralyzed? Just now, when he's becoming comfortable being Gay.If stress too much, he may feel the need for another man.

I know it's a Soap (thank goodness, so Jackson might recover) but they haven't shown them checking his torso or anything for feeling.. I still don't khow how a person paralyzed from the shoulders down, why he would be able to control his Diaphragm muscles to breath, you don't control your Diaphragm with your shoulder muscles. They haven't said his spinal cord was severed, so maybe it's only bruised and needs to recover. But, They need the full paralysis Drama now, so I hope Jackson gets well.

People love and care about him, I think he is more comfortable with it now. He knew Jackson wanted to know and he told it, however difficult it was. I think Jackson knew what he would say.
