2400+ Burn with the TRIPLE RAY SETUP | The Bazaar

It's funny hearing others think about what they consider "center pieces" for setups. I always saw charcoal and the omega ray as dooleys prime burn items. I never saw day one bronze micro dave, while having a shield core especially, as a center piece worth building around. If I had ignition core I may consider day one micro dave a decent hit. And even with ignition core I'm looking to replace him with better later I think. You did struggle bus your way to an omega ray. I found the best ways to use the rays is actually double core setup. With omega ray you don't actually need more items than soldering gun & / or ignition core to burn with. You need defenses. Aiden is most often times bait. Even if your getting a lot of aiden procs he can't keep up with any kind of proper poison build. Dooley will almost always lose to pufferfish builds even with a great aiden setup. Aiden's main purpose is he can get some decent enchants. But even then would depend on if you slot him. You need to aggro the pufferfish builds down. Combat core gives you that flexibility regardless of what starting core you pick & regardless of what you are scaling. Micro dave, aiden and cog needed to be replaced by more defensive items. The shield skills past day 8 are too good on dooley to not prepare for the inevitable greatness they can provide as dooley has the best shield items in the game. You can become immortal to anything that is not a proper poison build. And when you fight Vanessa's you can move combat core to a better position to aggro while still being very defensive. tl dr It's very hard to get 10 wins on dooley without combat core or a lot of his great shield items.

That skill that gives 10% crit to every item each time an item goes off (at the "cost" of -50% starting crit) seems absolutely broken. How does that cost 12, while +4 burn costs 24? Can items have negative crit chance?

Items have -50% critical chance, so the 1st to 5th trigger does nothing, then the 6th to 10th trigger do something. That's a huge amount of time during the fight where that skill does either nothing or almost nothing.

The main problem was he was using a lot of items that crit just didn't matter for. Beta ray, cog, aiden and the shield core. Their values are so low that critting is negligible. And because he is using too many offensive items and not enough defensive items the flat burn values may had actually been better. Usually before the crit is scaled the winner of the fight will almost always be made clear. Fights are over usually in seconds at the highest levels. Both are good in their own ways. But the choice was not as clear cut as it appeared.

@@damonblack5411 the thing is, status effect builds aren't good as burst builds meaning that having slow early doesn't matter. the skill for status builds reads, you deal double damage after 15 seconds. Well guess what, Your rarely killing anyone in 15 seconds so thanks for free 2x damage. Also consider that burn is reduced by shield and pure shield builds hard-counter burn if your burn is not scaled burn. poison gets countered by pure heal so it also fixes their pure counter.

40:49 Restorative is probably the lifesteal one. So if your core doesnt actually damage, the enchantment doesn't do anything. I had a run where I got Combat Core turn 3 and that golden gear you just got with the upgrade that ended up giving lifesteal and I suddenly had two upgraded lifesteal cores. And I started with the +30 damage on core if you level up skill. Easiest run yet 😂. I started with The Core in that run.

@@damonblack5411 Then it is probably a bug yes, because I feel like it should still enchant even if you don't upgrade the core. As far as I know the extra cooldown reduction also works on diamond cores, so... 🤔

I feel like you don't understand the buyable core is affected by core items, skills and level ups. He had haste, remote and a freeze ray to the right which scaled his armor to 800+ per trigger before you died.

ofc it is, anything can get to 10 wins if you know what you are doing and get decent rng. His setup was very sub optimal tho

Dino goes as low as 4 items at full upgrade and felt very strong when I ran it.

It is, it can also go below 4 items if you give it multicast, which is pretty easy since it's a friend.

I think Dave was by far the weakest thing on your board. Better to just have more defense. Smoldering gun had burn on lock down

adjacent item = items on each side. it is what adjacent means. cog's kinda good but it is not friend so it doesn't count microwave dave. it might been better to put cog between poison ray and dave.

What do you mean it doesn't count micro dave? Dave gains a charge when any small item is used. Nothing about him requires another friend.
