Take power from battery in extra accessories.. it is safe way . Dont interrupt main witing as today cars have more electricals ie sensors etc

Your point is valid. You can use hazard light in the case of parking. Or else you can put separate wiring along with the switch for fog lamps only. But this will increase the cost of installation.
